Trying to decide what I want to go with for my S15 SR

Greddy - not digging the fittings and lines, seems cast
Taka - awesome billet 'earls' design, great earl's lines and fittings
HKS - don't know much about it
Earls - DIY with seperate parts

Any others I'm missing?...pictures of where you mounted them if you have anyone would be great.

Has anyone had problems with mounting the filter upside down? I want to go that route so oil is retained in the filter for start up.

Thanks guys

there are a few people on ebay who offer kits/components. i have not invested the money into an oil cooler yet because i myself am not 100% sold on any of the setups (except for blitz but i cannot/will not pay 600 dollars for oil cooler setup). bang for your buck the ebay kits seem to be the most reasonable. do you know if you want a sandwich adapter? thermostat? braided lines? there are alot of choices. i believe there was a thread on freshalloy of someone who made their own kit and provided links and pictures. also check with reacer parts wholesale and truchoice they offer components seperately. good luck and keep us posted on what goodies you decide on.:yum:

many of my friends run the nicer greddy kits (w/ the -an fittings) and no ill effects.
heavily tracked cars too. no problems at all.

im going greddy on mine. its cheap price

move it to somewhere that cold air flow's over it and get one of those oil filter fin deals
point is that ,the oil will be cooler to a point ;if cool air flows over the filter

I had the greddy one and had absolutely no problems with it. I would go with the Taka ones since they come with better fittings etc instead of the clamp style fitting greddy includes.

If you want to save some money, get the filter relocation kit from summit for like $35 irrc, for $5 more, you can run 2 big ass Ford V8 style filters. instead of using thier rubber tubing with clamps, just get the corretn an fittings and tubing, and get the same thing as Taka for less. All it takes is alittle brains.

I dont know which one it was, it was probably an ebay relocation kit... but one of my customers got it for his S13.. but it required use of S14 oil filters... :-/

Hey guys,

Honestly the JDM oil relocation kits are crap. I define crap as the clamp style fittings for your oil relocation kit. Yup I have a bias but heres a shopping list to get it done on your own:

Engine Block Off (EARLS part number 1118 or 1119 depending on type of sr)
Oil Relocation Adapter
2 -8 16" Stainless Steel Lines
4 -8 Straights.
4 NPT adapters

If guys wants EARLs parts numbers I can add them to this post. But trust me its not hard to order what you need with the information above.
