What set up's do you guys run on you're 240's that are perfect for drift days or the track and safe to drive back home on. Try to be specific on what type of parts you got on.

jic flta2 with cusco / tein mismatch arms
4 point bolt in
tracked, used to daily
if your suspension isnt safe to drive home on, then you probably shouldnt be at the track ;)
i know what you mean though, usually 8/6 kg spring rate and decent valving is not that bad for daily drive to the normal driver...i think over time you just get used to it

How does you're car ride while you're on the freeway or best of all when it rains. Do you adjust the damping on you're coilovers for daily driving.

I adjust my coilovers a little if I'm gonna be on the freeway for an extended period of time and expect traffic. On my track settings my car pogos like a mofo over the expansion joints at like 30mph in traffic so I run the rear a little softer than usual and it seems to make it a little better.
KTS coils, SPL/Peak/Nams multi-link (ALL of it) and Whiteline sways. I don't get into trouble in the rain because I'm not a dumbass and don't have any real complaints about ride quality other than the aforementioned expansion joint deal. I'd chalk it up to inadequate damping rather than excessive spring rate. Noise from all the spherical bearings is essentially unnoticable.
That said, I wouldn't recommend running under like 6.5* caster in conjunction with toe out if you have wide tires. Sometimes the car tramlines something awful.

Any suspension setup is streetable really, you just have to drive cautiously around pot holes, angle or avoid speed bumps, and drive slowly in rough areas. I think my JIC FLTa2's are pretty rough but I've gotten used to it. Other coilovers feel like stock suspension now haha. But really, if you have to ask that question, you're not ready for coilovers. Sacrifice comfort for performance.

i never adjust my suspension minus ride height
going lower
right now good for low and good for daily..not too much scraping.
will go lower shortly w/ the new wheels going on in a week or so.

I must be a vag cause I have silkroads and all those other arms and what not and I'd rather be punched in the face than have to daily drive my car on the road. :Ownedd:
...but you gotta sacrifice in order to have a properly set up track car.

the issue isnt what is confrotable, but how safe is it to use on public roads. My personal 240 is stripped out no AC,heat nothing i dont even have a cd player, so comofort isnt the issue I dont know if anyone can comply with me in this but my 240 is my only car Daily and beater if it breaks im screwed.

Tein HEs w/ all the suspension multi links. Daily driven. Not too bad. I'm fortunate to have pretty good roads on my daily drives. Although, if I had to drive through pot-hole filled streets every single day....eh...I'd still drive it.

If you mean shock valving....rebounding and high spring rates on uneven roads, then I would say just be careful with whatever setup you choose. Take your time going around and avoiding holes and shit. Not sure how roads are in LA, but over here in the North East, roads are horrendous, especially in New York City and the surrounding boroughs, including NJ. There are some places that have decent roads but for the most part, the roads are crappy. IMO having a car that bounces everywhere and jerks uncontrollably over bad surfaces is not my thing... At this point comfort is still more important to me then all out performance.
For this reason I've pretty much decided on not buying c/o's until I have another car that i can Daily drive and be comfortable in... In the meantime I'm going with H&R springs and either AGX or koni's on my s14.. use the money on arms,LSD, wheels/tires, paint, brakes, engine work, etc etc..
Not for nothing, but while I commend your gangster for driving a completely stripped/stiff car for your daily... I have to question your thinking in having a car like that as your ONLY car.

the coilover settings aren't that big a deal, it's the pillowball mounts in the camber plate and on the arms that will really kick in. You feel the road so much more.
Going to drive your fully multilink'd car on the road as a DD is a commitment; dousan is hardly the most rational person to ask whether or not it's someothing you want to do..unless you are stupid enough to think you're as hardcore as douson (which you are not).
Now..safety...sure it's safe as long as you install everything properly and don't drive like an idiot...and don't drive with worn the hell out tires.

I do the same thing.
10/8, LSD, full pillow ball arms, low as shit. stretched tires.
HARDLY ideal.

Tein HEs, almost full soft. lots of bolt on braces, pretty low. SPL tension rods. mildly stretched tires. next month: LSD, inner and outer tie rods, and rear multilink.

It really does not matter what kind of suspension you drive with...
because its the driver that drives the car not the suspension parts...
i have a welded diff... silkroads... and bald ass tires... and i never spinned out in the rain...
why because i use my good judgement and drive safe... i also countersteer when my tail slides.
basically don't drive like an idiot
