okay, when you order a front clip, what exactly does it come with, is it the car literally cut in half and sent to you?? or is it like just the enigne and surrounding chassis components. would u get the guage cluster and pedals, ECU harness??

Clip comes with:
basically everything needed to swap into the car
sometimes comes with the pedals and guage cluster, but it depends on wear they cut it at. If its cut at the fire wall then it won't include them. It will include ECU and harness either way.
It won't come with body panels though, headlights, bumper, etc.
I think thats it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Hope that helped!

Honestly you never know. Yea you get the contents of the engine compartment but sometimes fenders and bumper....you never know. Just don't expect anything and see what happens.

Yea exactly. It really depends. The front clips come over here for a reason. The cars were hit and damaged. Now this does not mean just the front-end of the car. It could be the rear as well. If the rear was F'd up, they might chop the front and send a prefect front clip over.
My friend got his S13 fenders, hood, lights, bumper off a front clip and they were UNTOUCHHED. Beauuuuutiful!
I am hoping to get my fenders and hood the same way (Fingers Crossed) <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

The best thing about a clip besides gettin all the parts you need....is not having to deal with a fucked up oil pan.
Many times used motors from Japan are dragged or left on their pans....bad. At least on a clip the pan won't touch the ground.

No...the reason why clips are brought in is because complete cars need to go through different paperwork. A complete car is recorded and logged with customs. It is a huge hassle. It's easy to bring a clip in....a whole car is...well a whole car and completly different.
What you can do is bring in a rolling chassie. No bumpers, no headlights, no windshield, no brakes, no motor, no tranny.....so basically a shell...but the motor is what you want so why bother.
