Hells Yeah!!!.... I recorded the race and watched it first thing in the morning. Watching it with my brother again as I type this.

The changes are pretty interesting.
Wasn't to sure about the new qualifying but after seeing it first hand, it may be aight.
It's funny how both McLaren and Renault began the new season that same way they ended the last: Renault predictable and reliable (Alonso performing well with Fiscichella struggling) and McLaren having reliability problems once again (Montoya with a mediocre race and Kimi coming from near last to claim the last podium positon.
But I'm a Ferrari fan (been one since the 98 season) first and foremost. I'm static that the team is up to snuff again.
This season is shaping up to be a great one. As was mentioned in the telecast: it's been a long time since the parity among teams in F1 has been this close.
Predictions? Schumacher reclaims the driver championship and retires on top of his game having eclipsed just about every record in F1.

I've been looking forward to the start of the season for months now.

I was very glad Renault won. When Alonso snuck in front of Schumy at the exit of the pits, I was cheering.

I know it's bad, but when Massa was having massive troubles in the pits, I was smiling. The last thing I want is for Ferrari to win, they've had far too much time in the limelight. It gets boring when the championship is decided mid-season, like it was during the haydays of Ferrari.

Is it just me, or does it seem crazy that Kimi ran a 1 stop strategy?? How on earth do you get so much fuel on board. I mean, like 75 liters has a prediction of only 20-21 laps.

I think Alonso passing Massa in the first sector really hurt Ferrari, I am sure they were hoping to have Massa block Alonso.

Honda has been quite impressive, compaired to last year. Them and Mclaren are going to be fighting for the title with Ferrari and Renault.

I am really anxious to see how the engines will hold up for the second race, I think we'll see lots of DNF's.

Toyota had a very strong start last season and this one they started/finished mid pack! Honda and Ferrari both came back from the dead. Kimi is fucking amazing and I feel terrible for that boy and his luck. Fernando vs Michael was fucking GREATTTTT. I cant remember the name of the fresh William's driver and he was driving his ass off against Coulthard; Those two laps were great.
Time to sell the 240 and go buy a shifter kart

Reguarding the DNF's I think we wont have to many problems. McLaren might have FINALLY figured out not to push them so hard forcing Kimi to start from the rear so many times. But these v8's are revving as high as the v10's so they are definitely playing it safe so far; God dang vibrations. Probably see more suspension failures with the extreme vibrations from the engines.

God bless the tire changes being back, makes the pits wayyyy more exciting

Kimi is making Montaya look like a soccer mom driving a mini van.
Everytime I think about the various times last year and this race that he's come from the back of the grid to claim a top stop I get chills.
Shame on McLaren for not proving him with a reliable car. What more can the man do?

Having said that, I still am and have been for some time a Ferrari fan.
We as F1 fans are fortunate to be able to witness history in the making in the name of Michael Schumacher.
You can't keep the man down! I was sad to see Barrichello go and still have my reservations (unfounded I hope) about Massa.

I don't know, Coulthard blew his Ferrari motor just as he passed the finish line. I don't think it is out of the question that there will be a few DNF's. Although I'm sure the top Ferrari engines go to Schumaker and Massa.

Will be interesting this Sunday for sure.

Why did they make Bahrain the first race and not Melbourne.

^ Good question. I wonder if there an actual reason other than just to mix things up. But they done that before with the schedule. Next up is Kuala LUmpur, Malaysia and that one is usually held at the end of the season.

kIMI is the shit.PERIOD

it's amazing how he always "comes back from the dead"...

They should have giving him the championship last year, considering he won the most races and lead the most laps.(I believe?). He should have also won the year before that. The way I see it ,KIMI should have won the last two championships, and be defending it this year.but.....

Maybe this year, Mclaren will give him a car that's more reliable....

-also I'm glad they brought back the tire change rule+1

-I also think the new qualifying is pretty exciting+1

-I wish they would bring the V10 back.V8's are OK,but the V10's sound sooo smooth. (One billion dollars to develop the V8's,now that 's saving money:wtf: )

I really do not understand the v8 rule noting that they are going to be implementing rev limited v8's within a couple of years. Why not just limit the v10's they had before?......
