i searched on 2 forums and still havent found anything, my ? is does anyone know the size of the stock front sway bar on a s14? thanks

I dont know, Try to find a factory service mannual on line. It will give you ALL the specs you could ever need. I have a s13 or I would mesure mine. Sorry, good luck

I know a 1996 S14 has a 27.2mm front swaybar.

Why would you upgrade the rear, are you having problems with understeer?

lol well not yet, ive just been researchin on it, so im just gettin the info so when i do do it. but for what ive been reading i will get understeer. how about you guys do you get understeer on your stock suspension in your s14s?

no, I don't think you understand what I'm asking.
The does car currently understeer at the limit? If it does, it only makes sense to get a bigger rear sway bar.
I'd be suprised if it understeered at the limit. My stock s14 was crazy tail happy stock.

thats the thing i dont know if its going to i havent got to drive it to the limit yet, becuase its in the shop right now. Im just saying i heard that they do understeer sometimes. But you say they dont so i guess i wont need one quiet yet.

you must have had a se. se with small rear tires. the s14 base will understeer with grippy rear tires

Yeah I have a SE, but when it was stock it had the same size tires front and rear. What's different about the base?
Normally, I'd recommend seeing how the car handles first before many any suspension changes. There are plenty of other cheaper ways to cure understeer than get a bigger rear sway bar (ie. more negative camber in the front).

Even more important, the se has a rear sway.
The base only has a front stock.
