you can get a used one lightened and balance and surfaced for like $150 just got to call around and find a race machine shop that knows about flywheel lightening. I had it done by top end performance out in North Hollywood like 4-5 years ago.

yea they said 160 and it takes 4 days... you don't think a aftermarket one will be better? it is only 275...
cause i am thinking... with the 160 plus the 80 for a stock flywheel... it is pretty dang close... unless the lighter aftermarket is detrimental to the car...
what are you opinions? anyone?

Well, fact is they will take your flywheel down to around 16lbs, which is ideal, for street/track car. Most aftermarket flywheels are ultra light i.e.9-12lbs max. You will lose bottom end torque with them. They are designed and intended to be used on race engines. On the track bottom end torque is not an issue, because your always up in your rev band, i.e. mid range and top end.
Plus whoever is charging you $80 for stock flywheel is sticking it to you . Go out to pick a part you can get one for $40
