Is there any other nissan vehicle in the states that uses the same crank/vibration dampner pulley that the jap ca18det uses? My motor should have been together like last month, but I have been waiting for these friggen parts from japan for to long now. Dude assures me they are on their way, but on a boat, so wtf......here I am waiting, mid march, fucked. Machine shop is waiting for the front pulley to balance the entire rotating assembly, they are getting antsy, and obviously I am to.
I should be moon revving this thing right now, but im not!

According to the CA18 FAQ in Tech (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=66226). The 88' Nissan Pulsar NX SE has many interchangeable parts. Have you tried that route yet?

Yea I already looked into it, but unfortunatley, they dont share the crank pulley. Pulsar is FWD.

Look on the NICO CA forum. There's a couple people parting out complete motors.
