Which wheels u think?

I got a kouki conversion coming, lowering it etc the works, but lost on wheels. Which do you think would look the best and would be the least costly to run these wheels with a 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear....

First up, Work Emotions. 1 piece wheels but sexy and strong as hell

least costly = 5 zigen... depending on what you're trying to accomplish with the wheels? light weight? looks? etc etc

I hate those 5zigens with the polished lip. SSRs look good if your car has nice aero.
I would go with the Works or 5zigen ProRacer GN+

8.5 front sounds sissy. 9.5 +12 all around sounds good gtr size. if you can afford it by all means but ssr professors... if you have that kind of budget fn01rc shouldn't even be compared. i prefer work s1 over ssr though but as long as it has lip and its deep its baller.

fn01rc = budget, cheapest light proper fitting, decent not hot
work cr kai = semi budget, good looking
ssr sp1 or any other forged 3-piece= expensive, baller

2 color FNs = dumb, the emotions are nice, the sp1s are also nice, but the emotiosn are just so sexy

Least costly would definitely be fn, but go 18x9.5 +12 all around. Not a fan of the black w/polished lip either. Id stick with a single color fn, color depending on car color. Work CR kai are sick too in the same size, but id rather have the new xd9. SSR sp1 are very costly so it i wouldnt really put it in the same price range as fn or cr kai, the costs about twice as much. I, having/ or had all 3, is my personally opinion. I wouldnt trade my ssr's for anything, my fn's I would, my cr kai I did.

BTW, what are you plans for the body anyway and what color? Aero? OEM jdm aero? ETC. Helps us give a better opinion.

Try a wheel that you don't see on these cars all thru here already. like an LE37 or an advan, or a racing hart w/ a lip. .. .something that will stur the thoughts of the kats around here. .. .

if you're looking into SSR's then your budget must be in the well off section your budget. So take time, there already enough "Kouki" conversions & work Emotions on this site to open Emotional Kouki consultation clinic, I'm thinkin you guys are becoming abit agitated with all these conversions going on? Aren't there enough kouki's produced to just go find one, instead of the "conversion"

i dont like the emotions personally. i have a red kouki. i have some 17x9 +19 Gold VS-XX going on mine. i wanted to do something a bit different myself. plus the wheels are just tits.

As much as I like each of the wheels in question, I believe each one of them is played out. Im not sorry I said it, but I have seen each of them on so many cars reciently. (See, here (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=78492&page=31) for visual reference.)

This is kind of a hard question to answer. It all depends on the money you have. You can buy four 5zigen rims, for the price of 1 1/2 SSR Pro. If I had the money, I'd get the SSR's.

All name brand wheels are played out. Don't get fn01rc for sure if that's the case... I really like the SSR's and have only seen them on like 3 cars that I can think of. What about Nismos? I vote for Advans too. Black 3 spokers with a red lip....drool....

id take cr kais (classic for life) over professors, call me crazy, profs just not my thing at the moment

Not me. .. .I've seen them all over the place, I've only recently been thru this site in detail due to being home & not out trying to build a car that appeals to the market strictly for the market, I can market my car with what I have now, but choose to develop the car for personal enthusiasm. and I think thats what is being lost amongst the world of motorsports

. .. .I have known alot of these brands for a fair amount of time, not saying I am an "expert" to this particular market, but I think individualism is fading amongst auto enthusiasts, items have become so remarkably easy to "buy-In" on and takes away the true quest for the rare & qualitative parts that we have all come to know from the Japanese market. .. .Big Ups to Toyota, honda for certain asspects, & of course nissan. But please peoples, if you go buy TAKATA harnesses, please do it cause your favorite color happends to be green, lol. or you've looked into the performance aspect of the harness for safety reasons. .. .not just cause they're Green & "JDM" and will land yah more points at the chinatown auto show. .. .thats just my opinion. .. .

GO FOR ADVANS. .. .Very Strong & detailed design, or Volk RACING, very Strong Wheel for strong natured driving, great stability under pressure, great offset options, pricing is very competative. .. .Just don't ask what I have,lol.

the emotions and SSRs have been my fav wheel way before i owned a 240 or even before i owned my Evolution. I'm not jumpin on any sort of bandwagon. It's what I like and everyone has it, screw it, i still want it on MY car. As for the Volk and Advan comment, I think those wheels apply to your statement as well as everyone is getting those as long as they can afford. Excellent wheels tho, love the RGII from Advan just too costly.

thats exactly why i got work seeker CX! 18x9 and 18x10 in 4 lug baby! dont think anyone else has those wheels on this forum mind you that size in 4 lugs!
