does anyone have a link to a KA24E FSM?

yes, i did spend an hour searching on this site too...

I blew a head gasket and i'd like to have something more detailed then this POS manual: http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/24/47/ This manual for the SOHC seriously sucks ass.

What is wrong with that one? It should be a link to FSM.

The FSM for the KA24E SOHC engine has like 3 paragraphs on how to remove the head. ...i need something like the KA24DE engine FSM thats listed on that site.

Being both are different heads/intakes/ect , The DE wont work. I need descriptive stuff... mainly because when I take all this apart, i'd like to know how its suppost to go back together.

Tenchuu, no help at all man... (i need SOHC, not links to other places that I have been)

phatg20 has this... wich is no help
http://www.phatg20.net/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=66 = no SOHC

chlton's book doesnt have as much information
http://www.delmarlearning.com/browse_product_detail.aspx?catid=12067&isbn=0801982626

the haynes sucks aparently, and I couldnt order one through our Lordco.

zilvia.net
Such a wonderful search that I couldnt find it on this forum, or on my forum either. Its nice to have a wealth of information, but how come its not stickied for all the people who actually work on cars instead of talk like they do?

better question does a service manual exist for a SOCH ?

Its kinda sucky being the SOHC is the neglected car, even from Haynes and Chilton. They have information on there to give people an 'idea' of how to take it off. Who makes the manual that has where each washer and bolt goes? its not chilton or haynes from what I can see.

they must have removed the SOCH from phatg20, i recently deleted the copy of the FSM for a 1990 i d/l for a friend from there. but you make a good point so here is a writeup i found for your question that seemed to cover it all.

I can recommend going to a shop that has AllData and asking them to print it up for you. Just give them 10 bucks and they will be fine with it

i wish i would have never written off my dohc, lol

if anyone can find a detailed cutaway of the intake side that would be great. As for the tech questions, i'm heading over to the tech section.

When I did mine I took pics before I took any thing apart, labeled every hose and wire before disconecting anything. I did it before i got my FSM, now I could do it with my eyes closed...lol. I still have some pics if you need somthing also I have a 1990 FSM if you need a page coppied. while you have it apart I recomend the timing chain, go ahead ask how I know this.

yeah i took a lot pics, and I got everything taken apart.

I will be doing a writeup walkthrough on this process so nobody has to find all the little anoying things involved with doing this.

Community colleges with automotive programs have access to alldata....
Or if its really imperative to have the OEM FSM you could always buy it from Nissan... then scan it for us.
