Hi Guys...

This is just a feeler. With 3 Kids and 1 on the way, I've been contemplating on selling her. Besides, I'm close to 40yrs old. [:(]
In addition, I have a couple other cars that I've been neglecting. As far as the pricing is concerned, I am somewhat unsure at the moment. As you read my parts list below, you are basically getting a car with practically a NEW motor with all the goodies (at least in my opinion), and both exterior and interior, are practically new.

Please do NOT email me requesting PRICING....Do the calculations yourself and send me an offer. Again, I am NOT in NO RUSH in selling her. Actually, I don't even know why I'm actually doing this. [:(] But, with a right offer, I will let her go.

If you are familiar with the parts listed, please do a rough calculation, and email me an offer.

A few things to mention.
** This car has never been drifted **
** All exterior parts listed are less than 1 yr old. **
** Engine Bay parts are less than 5 months old **

ok since you had numerous offers and only responding to ones thats reasonable, can you give us a ballpark of 'reasonable'

NI_YON_Zenki
03-09-2006, 06:36 PM
in my personal experience with the Toyota HachiRoku clans around, I would honestly list this particular model for a strong 10K possibly more. .. .considering the quality parts that have been covered by the engine alone, would be around 3k, then suspension is around 1500-2K, THEN you have a 20 year old body that is unfamished of dents & rust apparently. .. .so yeah.

I'd call out 12K on the Dot, and I may be calling a generous price right now.

10k? holy crap, at least 15.

Anyone have a clue how much his kit cost? How many people in the states even have authentic Run Free kit?

And new window moldings? WTF.
the only cars that come with that are NEW cars.

GL with the sale man.

Guys, Please do not be offended or take it personal if I do not reply to your offers. Let me say this, offers like $6,000 or $7000 is not even close to being reasonable. If your read through my list carefully, let me stress again, that 95% of what you see in the engine bay is NEW.

Thanks to all of you for the compliments and understanding.

That's probably the nicest 86 i've seen in a while, but fixing stuff with new oem parts doesn't add value to a car. With that said, I still think it's worth some dough. Sooo no dis, just saying to the people saying "wow oem parts!" Still thumbs up.

well its hard for people to say whats equal value because some people might think its worth more/less then what you think. POST UP A DAMN ASKING PRICE ALREADY SOMEONE JUST MIGHT SEE IT, LIKE IT AND BUY IT!!! i honestly dont know what its worth to you but ive seen other corollas on club4ag in same condition for about 20k .

post it on ebay I am sure you will get a satisfying amount since it will get more coverage for sale.

seriously man, post a fucking asking price...it's like you're making people jump through hoops just to make offers on the car...

it's rediculously sweet, no question there...one of the nice corollas i've seen...but still, do everyone a favor, stop playing the aloof guy who doesn't want to give up his baby, and name a price...

we all know you want to get as much as possible and the idea behind not posting an asking price is you're scared you wont ask for enough...so post a price that is 1-2K more then you'd like to get and take a reasonable offer...

i hate "testing the water" threads...shit or get off the pot...

i'd offer 10K cash...

Guys...The last thing I would like happen on this thread is 'hard feelings'. I asked for all those who are seriously interested to give me a reasonable offer. Although I've received a few, I've also received offers in the range of 6-9k. Now is this reasonable knowing exactly what I mentioned above? Those who have offered me 'lowball' prices must not know exactly what I am offering as stated above. This is okay with me and I have no hard feelings. Those of you who have gotten frustrated, I apologize, but at the same time, I want to thank you for your postivie criticism.

I've spend over 30k on this car and I have practically ALL the receipts to prove it, but I know for a fact that I will NOT get close to this value. Now, my question to those who are interested. Do you think it's worth 50% of what I've spent? Answer this question, and base your offers on what I've just said and make your judgement. Lastly, if I don't sell her, then I am okay with it.

Again, thanks to all of you for your comment.

I am right there with you noke, the only time I do, or appreciate a testing waters thread, is when I see, or post an initial asking price.
I can honestly say, if this guy is trying to get top dollar for that car, Zilvia is the wrong place to be posting it. Sorry guys, but almost everyone knows people bargain hunt here. Thats ok, I do not have a problem with it.
But for anyone trying to get top dollar? Forget it.
To the owner of the nicest hachi I have seen in a long time, you most likely want somewhere in the 15-20k range. I personally would never pay that for a 1985 car, unless it was an exotic, which a Hachi is not! I suggest you take your car to ebay,it will sell for big money there. I honestly feel your wasting your time trying to sell it on Zilvia IMHO.

totally agree with the rest of the guys here. I personally would not pay more than 5K + for a 85 car. I really don't care how much money was invested into it or how highly modded the car is. Point is that its a freaking 85 COROLLAS, and it will be hard to get what you want for it which is the 15-20k range. None the less it is still a very nice car though!

yea its all a mute point, all those people saying "WOW ITS WORTH $35000 dollars for sure its sooo cleannnnn bla bla bla" Its a 1985, a corolla, may have nice piant and a very nicely finished car, but i will tell u that all that money you put into this car WILL NOT even bring you close to breaking even, so dont try, you are going to take a loss on the car anywere u go, unless u got every part on it for free, I may have tossed a bunch of money into my s13, but it isnt gonna make it worth 20k bucks,
ill be lucky to get 5 because of the mileage on it, but reguardless,
If you want money for it, part it out on 4-ag or else, might wanna go sell it elsewere to some F&F3 SUPER DRIFT TYTE YO crack ass on ebay.
