PipingPro.com Group Buy - Pro Intakes
The last group buy was very successful and I chose to continue these for a new group buy!
I am custom making these pipes for your T25 or T28. The stock rubber piece has a spiral looking thing inside that is supposed to help keep the intake from collapsing under boost, and keep the spool noise down.
You no longer have to worry about that!
This 2.5" aluminum pipe allows you to clearly hear your turbo spool louder!! Plus, (if your BOV is near the intake) you no longer have to sacrifice performance for sound -- if you recirculate with a custom pipe, you no longer just hear a "swoosh" like you did with the stock piece, but it will sound closer to the way it was meant to be heard!! My greddy type s bov is still loud recirculated, unlike when it used to be run with the rubber piece.
Free up some HP, help your turbo breathe and hear that baby spool!! :D
Here are a couple of pics taken from the last group buy:

Z32 MAFS Owners:
I can supply a coupler reducer for your MAFS. The cheapest I've seen is on ebay and they're $9, but i will offer them for only $6.50. Just add that to the total.
Upgrade to T-Bolt clamps: Add $6 to the total for two stainless steel t-bolt clamps. $12 for four t-bolt clamps.
Air filters:
We are offering air filters as well. Just add $20 to the order. For info please go to http://www.pipingpro.com
Important:
Keep in mind that these are all custom made, and are done to the best of my ability. To get the best possible outcome, it would be very helpful if you provided pictures of your setup (ESPECIALLY if what is involved is very intricate). When ordering, make sure you let me know what MAFS you're using, possibly air filter, and where your BOV/catch tank is located, along with some pictures if possible.
I prefer PayPal but will accept Money Order.

There is a general wait time of one week. I ask buyers to give me about a week for me to complete a pipe, but it generally doesn't take that long. Oh and for this group buy, you don't need to wait for a certain amount of people to buy in. It's an ongoing deal

Just curious on the difference between the T25 and T28 pipe. I have a T25 now, but it will only be on for a couple months til I get a T28. I am assuming it has something to do with the compressor inlet piece? If so, I was planning on reusing that with the T28, so should I just order the T25 one?

Yup you're right. The difference is in the turbo inlet. The T28 intake pipe has one bend while the T25 intake pipe has two bends. If you're going to be using the T25 inlet, then you should get the T25 intake pipe.

I'm not sure how long this group buy will be going for yet..
i'm going on vacation from 3/18 to 3/25 (one week), so I won't be able to do any pipes that week. I will be accepting payments probably until 3/15 (wednesday). If ordered by wednesday, i'll be sure to ship them all out before I leave. i will be answering emails and such. If you decide to order during the week that I am gone, I will make the pipes on a first come first serve basis. so if you put in your order first, you'll be the first to get their pipe once i return

Just sent payment for a T25 kit w/bung and MAFS coupler. Forgot to include in the payment the size for the bung. 1/2" should be good as its the closest to the size of the port on the valve cover on my CA18.

For the T28 kit, what t28 is it? S15 or S14. I have an s15 t28 using t25 inlet, just wondering if it will fit right. AFAIK they point differently but due to the ribbed pipe it can bend a little.

Hi,
The T28 intake applies to both S15 and S14, because S15 inlet=S14 minus the extra bung the S15 inlet has. If you're using the T25 inlet, you should be getting the T25 intake.

I got mine and it looks great, but is it supposed to be really loose where it attaches to the inlet piece on the turbo (where the coupler attaches to the turbo inlet pipe)?
Pepperoni
03-17-2006, 12:32 PM
No not at all. Try attaching/tightening the coupler on the inlet first alone, then connect the pipe and tighten it, or vice versa. Make sure the clamp is holding the whole coupler and not half of it. It's easier if you connect the coupler first and clamp it alone to be sure you put it on correctly.

Just wanted to chime in and give props where they are due.
I paid on March 10. By March 16th I had already missed 1 delivery because I didn't realize it was going to come so soon...so no one was home to receive it!
Pipe looks awesome, great price for great goods. The silicon couplers could be a little better but that's not a huge deal. I would have paid the same $60 for just the pipe and hardware kit.
Thanks a bunch Aure!
EVERYONE should buy one of these for their SR...Don't waste your time w/ a filter on your POS accordian intake pipe!

Hey guy as soon as you come back from vacation I'll be getting one of these. Now my engine is a ka-t with the ssa bottom mount manifold that places my S15 T28 in the same position as an SR for that matter. The T28 is using its own inlet, but my hotpipe is for an S13 going through the hole for the old resonator box. I could post a pic tomorrow to give you an idea of what I'm running, please get back at me as soon as you come back from your vacation.

surprisingly, I received my pipe today. I was thinking to myself damn thats sick turn around especially when I ordered it late last Wednesday. First thing i see was the silicone connectors, well they are pretty much the cheapest ones you can get. OK thats not to bad, I can replace that. So then I look at the pipe. the welds were far from clean, I have only been welding for a few months and I have made cleaner. Then for some reason there is a spot on the pipe where maybe a plug went that is now welded shut. and not very clean either. Definitely just wish I would have made my own instead of paid 65 bucks for a decent product. The only thing that is good is the fitment. just from eyeing it up it seems like it will be a nice fit. So now I am going to grind down the welds, clean them up and just powdercoat it. I hate when things don't look clean

whitey240, i'm sorry you are not completely satisfied with the product. I try to do the best I can on each pipe, especially when I'm trying to pump these out by myself. As you stated, you should know that aluminum is significantly harder to work with than metal. If you are looking for a pipe that is factory welded, perfect from defects, and "cleaner", I suggest you go to Enjuku, heavythrottle, Greddy, etc. and pay the $200+. Everyone else, thank you and glad the pipes got to you guys okay. I'll be returning late saturday :)

Yup you're right. The difference is in the turbo inlet. The T28 intake pipe has one bend while the T25 intake pipe has two bends. If you're going to be using the T25 inlet, then you should get the T25 intake pipe.
From what I've read when going for T28 on s13 sr you have to use the t28 inlet pipe for s14/15. Otherise the pipe if in a weird position, no room. I'm now assuming that this will affect which pipe you go with, right?
What I'm getting at is that it sounds like the t25 version will not work when you upgrade to t28 turbo, which requires a t28 inlet pipe and, hence, matchign t28 intake pipe.
Here's my source...

thats right. T25 inlet is much different than T28's. I'm sure you could cut up the T25 intake pipe and get it to work with the t28 turbo, but you might as well save money and get the T28 pipe.

please get back to me pepperoni i really want one of these
I'm upgrading t28 on my s13 sr and using z32 maf.
I would need a piping made just like the OEM t25 version, but with the t28 size. BOV and catch can buns on them too with reducer couplin.
Price on this please.
edit: are these piping Exactly like OEM. Just from your pictures, it seems like the bov recir valve is facing the wrong direction. It should be pointed stright at the rad support, instead of tstright up to the valve cover; like in those pictures.

who cares what oem is like.. who has an oem front mount and hotpipe? he puts the recirc bung in the spot where there is as little vacuum tubing to the blow off valve as possible. mine only has like 4-5 inches of vacuum tube between the blow off valve and intake. i've had mine for a number of months now and don't stall when i go into neutral right after boosting like i used to before my bov was recirc'ed.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/star01/brians%20car%20pictures/IMG_3439.jpg
who cares? obviouslly I do. My recirculated valve is already cut and measured by the OEM location. my hks hot pipe with hks ssqv is facing the other way compared to yours. If he can't make it as OEM as possible, then what's the point of my interest? I could make these myself in my garage with my tig welder.
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/9669/untitled18kh.jpg
It's pretty obviusly that he made that recir valve perfect for "leaky" greddy bov.

nrg, everyone's BOV is facing differently and like shiftnslide said, I try to put the bung as close to the BOV as possible for a cleaner look, and reduce the hose length.
I do hesitate to put together an intake with setups like yours especially when you're upgrading to T28 and not sure where everything is going yet. The stock bung will most likely be moved up higher if using the stock t28 intake, and I don't know how that will affect your hosing.
And the bungs I use are not BOV specific..
I can only do so much with pics and can only theoretically guess where your future t28 hosing will trace to. I think you should just wait to see how the t28 mounts and where exactly is when put together... to avoid headaches, at least.
If you could make it yourself, you probably should. That way you're 100% positive the intake is put together the way it should be for your setup

Ok just to clear some things up for those of you confused:
http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/3615/t25intake8uq.jpg
This is a finished T25 intake pipe. Left bung sticking upward is for the BOV (1"). On the right you see a smaller bung (3/4") and that is for the catch can (stock size).

Ok i have plenty of piping available... 2", 2.5", 3"... in 45, 90, 180 degrees, for pretty much half the price of anywhere else, or i'll price match. Also have couplers available.
I might be working on a full bolt on FMIC group buy, but for now, those who want to go the custom route and get pipes for cheap can contact me.

since i have a GT28R with T25 turbo inlet. My inlet is heading down toward the frame rail...does im gonna be able to bolt your intake still or id have to cut the inlet to make it head toward the front of engine ?
If you dont understand what i mean. Ill get pictures.

Hi,
If you're using the stock T25 turbo inlet (not modified) then you will need the T25 style intake. You can send pics if you think it will help. Even if it is different than stock, I would rather mod the intake pipe rather than your turbo inlet. But from what it sounds like, T25 intake will best suit your needs. Please PM me to further discuss this/finalize the order.

Hi,
i've an european 200sx lhd (s14a chassis, sr20det blacktop 5mt) and i'm interested in:
- s14 hotpipe with greddy type RS and wastegate bung
- s14 t28 intake pipe with bov recirculation bung
Tw0 questions:
1) I've an apexi power intake filter with induction box (fit more or less like the standard airbox), the intake pipe should work with it?
2) can you tell me shipping cost to Italy - Rome please?

We've done a good amount of topmount turbo intakes- if you need one done, I can pretty much tell if it's doable once you send me a pic or two. But it shouldn't be much of a problem to fab one up for you.

We have done a hybrid hotpipe and still working on the size issues (T28 outlet asks for a much shorter S13 hotpipe w/modified outlet). Once it is 100% complete and practiced, we'll put it up on www.pipingpro.com as another product.
Of course, doing this will cost a little more because of the labor, but it is doable. I'll look for your PM in my inbox and reply to you with more info.

Just for information (don't worry, i'll try to find a way by myself ) the pipes wound't fit in an Euro S14a w sr20det blacktop, the power steering bottle is exactly in the middle, for sure the pipes wouldn't fit with an apexi induction box neither with the original filter.......maybe with some 45° couplers in the middle to help.

Sorry guys, been really busy. To give an update: we have more staff in training now (which is what i've been busy with), and we got more welders in training as well (FINALLY!!!)
su177rit, if you didn't get my email, I basically said that if you receive the 1st (presumably lost) intake, keep it or recycle it; you should receive your 2nd intake any day now.
The group buy has been basically "over" for a while now, HOWEVER. I talked to my boss and I can still offer the same deal for Zilvians who didn't get in on the deal. So it's technically not over because I will keep this group buy thread open for a little while, and most likely get it moved to the Advertiser Specials and Sales area since these intakes/hotpipes will be regularly available at www.pipingpro.com
And please don't assume pipingpro.com is mine, because if you order through there, your order won't necessarily be done by me (unless you specifically request it to be done by me).
For now, If you're interested in an intake/hotpipe, it's probably best if you email me at my personal email: aurelianoislas at yahoo.com
We're also going to be offer a hybrid hotpipe. For those of you who replaced your T25 with a T28, but want to retain the T25 intercooler piping route, we will soon offer a T25/T28 hybrid hotpipe. Pictures will be given when everything is done. A GT2871R/T25 hotpipe hybrid is in the making as well.
T25 Cold Pipes are in the making and will also be offered very soon as well, with the same options as our current hotpipes (BOV flanges, wastegate bungs, etc.). We're still working on T28 Cold Pipes, since there seems be more variations on what piping route T28 user's take than T25's.
Thanks guys! (And no, I haven't seen any aliens yet!! ;))

(And no, I haven't seen any aliens yet!! ;))

i need a intake for the garret gt2540r i'm just wondering if you can make one asap. most come with couplings. the intake inlet coupling must be 4 inches reduce to the 3 in intake z32 with the coupling. the intake must have a bung for the oem catch can.

seems like they are busy. i paypaled him also 1-29-07 but it says it can take up to 2 wks even though they're located within an hr from me in the bay area. but i requested a custom t25 pipe with no bungs at all so it might take time to weld shut and test. give it some time. they're busy.

Yes, if you have a KA (or a CA) these intakes will still work, provided that you use the stock turbo inlet.
