Well i just went to look at another 240.. its in pretty good contiion.. the hood has some scratches but i'll get a paint job anyways... its a 1995 240SX SE... it has 160000 KM on it.. thats approximately 95000 miles..the car is very clean... when i shift to third the gears grind a bit... and the brakes also make that sqeeking noise but he said he'll fix that... also when i tried taking it to red line the revv limitor kicked in and stopped me at 5500 RPM... is this normal? this didn't happen on the other S14 that i looked at a while ago...  do you guys think this is good? it's from a dealership and comes with a one year warranty... so what are your opnions on this?? thanks in advance

If that early redline was in 4th then it's probably your speedo cluster connection. I had the same issue for a couple days after I accidentally cut the little blue wires coming thru the firewall <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/butbut.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':but:'>

the gear shift grindage is BAD! even if its just a little bit it means (i know im gonna get flamed for this) your servos are going bad and that is a very big tranny rebuild ..see if the dealer will cover that and rebuild it then knock at least 1000 or more off the price. but like said its just me

Yeah, Im no tranny expert...but I do know that grinding is bad...and will only get worse. &nbsp; If you buy that thing, get the warranty IN WRITING....so when the tranny goes....they will fix it. &nbsp;(is this a used car dealer....or a new car dealer who has some used also??)
