my friend is getting a car soon and he has been looking around.then the other day he calls me up and says dude some guy i've been talkin to for a while about selling his R34 for 7,000 and he lives in washingthon so its already U.S legal and blah blah blah..now i dont know much about legalizing cars and stuff but.. is that even possible?? i mean 7g for a skyline thats already registered in the U.S and plus...it is a skyline arent those worth so much more money than that...all stock and only like 50k miles on i think even less.
it sounds like a scam to me but i didnt wanna tell him cuz he was all stoked and happy about it.and plus his older bro is helping him with the payment and the bank so its secured and not a scam... i just wanted to know what u guys (pros) thought about that

Yep, I call---:bs:.
Tell your friend if he's really interested, to have the owner draw up a contract of sale or something with the legality in writing. Watch how quick the seller dissappears. If not, then hey, win-win, right?

SCAM
There is no way its a legalized Skyline. None. I'd bet a donut on it, too. Yes, you can find Skyline's for about that price. In Japan, that would buy you a R34 GT-S or event a GT-T, but not a GT-R. Any way, it would be a great car to drive, no matter what trim level. A RWD RB25DET would be a fun track-day car, even if its not legalized.
It would have to be a second car, since there is no way you are going to get insurance on it legally. But, it still would be a lot of fun.
Good luck, but its still a SCAM.
What scale?
1:8 / 1:18 / 1:24? Must be nice!

He won't be getting a car....he'll be getting anally raped through his wallet.
BTW, I'm willing to bet a donut that it's a 4 door, with no motor.
