Well the headlamps for the Kouki are hella expansive but I love the look and the OE Japanese bumper is elegant to boot.
What I was wondering (and I thought I've seen it before) was to get the fenders, hood and bumper and still utilze the Zenki headlamps and Kouki corners... to 'tide me over' until I can get the Kouki's.
Or for that matter could I get a Kouki reinforcement bar and the JDM bumper and run them with my Zenki headlamps and fenders?
1 fender, 1 corner lamp and my reinforcement bar are all bunk anyways so if I'm to make the change, now is the time. Otherwise I'm just going to look for a subtle or OE R33 look-a-like bumper to make the Zenki front at home.
Thanks,
~Kris

Kouki bumper wont work with the zenki headlights. Zenki bumpers got a dip to fit the zenki headlights while koukis are flat all across.

the headlights arnt too expensive compared to others
my roommate backed into my car awhile back and smashed my front end a bit. she was in a rush and didnt looked back when she came out of the garage. not to mention she got rear ended a week earlier so she had no bumper and went into my car with her rear metal bumper support. went to dealer and picked up the headlights for about 200 each. i expected it to be more lke 400-500 each, but i thought it wasnt too bad of a price. maybe im wrong...
but yea just save up all the parts and put it on when you have it all ready.
might as well paint it to match you car while you're at it too

just stay zenki until you get all the parts, zenki is much hotter in my opinion, but if you must go kouki just wait. What's the rush?

The Kouki hood is not going to close with the Zenki fenders or headlights for that matter. Trust me...:coolugh:
maybe this thread (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=101555) can help...
I also have the JDM Kouki front bumpers etc... as well as USDM...

Well I'm going to be priming the whole car soon and so I want to line up most of the parts. I'd be using the Kouki fenders, hood, reinforcement panel and bumper... possibly leaving the hood out of the mix for now as I want a CF vented one and having found exactly what I want yet. I know I've seen someone using Zenki lamps in a partial conversion where they had the Kouki hood already.
I dont understand what you mea about dropped areas on the Zenki bumper for the headlamps, both bumpers are flat across the top, there are no dropped areas to my knowledge.
Kouki headlamps are expensive, that group buy is a pretty good deal though. I'd stay Zenki but I cant find a front bumper I like and making the headlamps not suck is a major challenge without resorting to very expensive EU-spec lamps which I may as well go Kouki if dealing with that cost. Also I feel the Zenki front is too dated, while the rounded lines are suitable to the design of the car as a whole they are very Altima-like in style and really take away from the car IMO.
You say Zenki is hot but you're driving a 14.5. I like the OE J-spec bumper and indicator lamps, another item of the Zenki I cant stand, and a Navin grill will not resolve my concerns with the front. I thought the Zenki front was savable and with a decent hood and bumper it may be but I havent seen any suitable options. :/
Jason, I may look your way in the future as those are good prices for guarenteed parts.
Thanks,
~Kris

actually, if you want to get technical... the zenki looks like a early - mid 90s toyota camry. the kouki looks like a mid 90s accord. :D

I would say the zenki looks more like an R33 and kouki looks...... um I guess closest would be an accord, sorry kouki owners I tried to think of something else but couldn't. haha!

yea, and so what, i did that years ago and it's to late to go back now. I still miss my zenki front to this day.
anyways, you say you are getting ready to primer and fit the pieces. WHY??? JUST WAIT!!!!!! i still don't understand the rush? if you can't afford kouki headlights then don't change for crying out loud. I don't mean to be an ass but i just don't understand why you can't wait untill you get all the parts lined up. please help me understand... seriously.

To be honest if I could make the headlamps look decent (clear the faceting on the inside) or utilize R32 lamps than going that route might not be so bad. The Euro lights make the Zenki look 10 times better but it is still partially faceted and still is the same 'non-threatening' shape. (If that makes sense in any way)
I have taken some though it to what has been said here and have done a bit of thinking on my cars condition. I may forgoe the front-end work for now and get shocks/springs and bushings as I can tell my suspension is lacking. I will still probably primer the entire car as my factory paint is in such horrid condition I'd feel better with it all being atleast one color.
S14xman, sorry if my response was kinda, well being a dick. I was in a hurry and sarcasm took over.
What sideskirts are those on your car? JDM Zenki's?

there are knockoff/fiberglass bumpers on Yahoo! japan that are jdm kouki (with lip) style for Zenki. Order at your own risk.
