View Full Version : What do i need to do a ka24e to ka24de swap

What would i need to swap out my ka24e and put in a ka24de in to my 89 240sx.can i use to same trans and i read some where that you need a new gauge cluster.Also how hard would it be do this swap my self.Iwould put in a sr20det but dont have the money right now and want to get the car running.

the downpipe goes from a turbo turbine outlet to the cat;
no, u don't need one on a N/A engine

get a complete k24de engine and ur in business thats the only way, and u can use the same tranny IIRC

No you cant they are totaly diffrent.

I am also curious what all i would to to swap out it i did this engine swap, would i need to change the ecu and harness or will the KA24E harness and ecu work with the KA24DE and what about the ignition? I would appreciate the help
