I was reading a topic of group buys and it sounds pretty risky. Especially about the LostProjects.com deal. Sounds like alot of folks are pretty ticked and a small handful somewhat happy. I really don't understand this type of selling/buying as it is prone to potential fraud. I for one wouldn't take anyone's money unless I had the goods in hand readily available to distribute which would pretty much mean that you must have a good cash on hand. I for one wouldn't risk my hard earned dollars to a complete stranger unless I can physically come knocking on his door when the goods aren't in. Long distance business is pretty risky in my opinion if you don't have a way to follow-up your buys. I got hosed out of $3600 in the past year doing on-line commerce with so called "reputable" businesses. It's hard to follow-up when your goods don't show up especially when you are geographically apart. My $3600 raw deals originated out of Canada. It's been months and I don't have the goods....no email responses, phone is no longer in use, PAYPAL can't help since the clown is not in the US. He was even a verified user and had a confirmed address registered with PayPal....and PayPal is pretty close to crook proof. Once I get my business on the roll, I will be bonded with the state of California so you all will know I am legit....adios!

Hey
Here is my take on the situation as far as lostprojects is concerned.
Some stuff do take long time as he is operating a new business and recently moved and there's a lot of things he has to worry about including different group buys' that he has going. Not to mention, he has been BIG OF A MAN to admit when he is wrong and is working on resolving the situation.
Guys don't forget he has worked hard to make a name for himself and his business, and he has given a lot of NICE group buys' going for us and our community. His new business is like 12 miles from where i live, i will be checking it out soon and hanging out with him.
I don't blame you for reading the post and coming to your opinion as you did, but all i am saying is, it hurts more since more people would remember bad things and experiences and not the good ones. SO I URGE peeps that have there issues resolved to leave their FEEDBACK for Ian and his business.
Some of these deal Ian is involved in, He has lost profit on it trying to make up for his mistakes. SO please give him a little credit for that.
That's all

lallaa Ians Business, not my business, i dont give a shit what he does , or what name he has or created. just the topic GROUP BUY.. what is a group buy? you tell me. is it a 15% sale on an item? or is everyone suppose to save up and pay all at once to get it. Trust me i know the rules and stuff. and this is not a group buy. i am just putting my opinion on his method of operation.
SR20Man first couple post i called him bs. because i do know how everything goes. (business wise.)
Ians side-business (LostProjects) is based on jobber resaling only. So do not tell me his business is 10min from your ass and make it sound big. cuz i know the truth, nothing but operations done at his house. and i dont' give a shit bout what you say. And ive been reading about people complaining and all that shit.. well its not his fault, he can't work on LostProjects full-time. so cut him some slacks. Yes he does offer good prices but then again he shouldn't call upon so much trouble if he couldn't handle it.
