I have a 90 240sx se, any ideas or tips on changing the trani fluid.  Also, what type of trani fluid works best for performance and wear.  Thank You.

You didn't specify whether you have a 5spd or auto but I'll assume 5spd...
Redline mt-90 or mobile 1 synthetic tranny oil is what i'd use.
I have redline in right now, it didn't work magic but did make shifting feel a little more slippery but not much.

To change it there is a plug near the back of the tranny (near the cat) directly underneeth. Its one of those odd ones where its not a bolt you can use a regluar socket on. Its like you need an oversized hex wrench...but square. I used my ratchet with no socket on.
So you unscrew than just like when changeing your regular engine oil. Wait forever for it to drain. Clean off your drain plug, there may be bits of metal stuck to it from grinding gears if you ever do that...but definately plenty of goo stuck on there.
Once its all drained, put the plug back in and tighten it down (I dono if it has to be torqued or what, I just guessed)
Then there is an identical looking fill plug parallel with your drain plug but about 8-10 inches up around towards the drivers side. Unscrew that and pump your oil in (~2.5qt) untill it starts overflowing.
As for the pump, you can go to autozone and pick up a pump for $10 or less, just tell them what your trying to do and they will find you a pump that will work.
Once your all filled up, screw the plug back in and your done.
