I recently looked underneath the fenderwells and saw lots of tire marks on my frame rails :x:

Its not really that slammed in my opinion

How much did you guys actually beat in for a significant amount of clearance?

I don't want to beat the piss out of it and put everything back together to find out I didn't beat it enough.

I'd like to lower it another couple of inches or so for slammed zenki goodness

Get a bigger hammer and beat the living SHIT out of it like you'd beat a redheaded step child.

Use two hands.

I beat the motherloving crap out of mine and it still is in one piece....

what did you end up doing with the harness?

and after beatin yours to the point that its at, do you have any more rubbing problems? also, how much more travel were you able to get out of it?

Err...... I'd say from stock to hamburger I mustve gained atleast an inch of clearance. Enough to run a 17x19 +15 with a 235/40 on it and have FULL lock to lock and have the car about as low as your pic.

I'd say mainly try and get all the metal seams beaten flat!!!!!

My tire ate the harness, and then I relocated it under the fender.

#1 If you fender liner is still in there, rip that out.
#2 Relocate your engine harness.
#3 Bfh the living hell out of your fender anywhere you see the marks.
#4 Drop your car more and have fun.
#5? Notch fenders if your car is extremely low.

hahaha oh boy... its obviously a typo.

I used a propane torch and a big hammer to bash my fender wells in. I cut most of the fender lining shit out but left the stuff that keeps dirt from going in between the body panels. Just hit where you see rub marks. I just ended up banging everything in so I wouldn't have to worry about it later. Oh yeah and a lot of my coating chipped off since i heated it up, so i just sprayed it with rustoleum.

I had -1 offset on my Albas and they rubbed like a bitch. I had Sportlines. I hammered the fender lip all the way flat and hammered the fender outwards about 1/2 an inch. Completely solved the problem. Before I hammered, they stuck out of the fenders about 1/2 an inch and after they were hammered the wheels were perfectly flush. It chipped my paint a little but nothing major.

I cut the front half my fender liner out.

yeah for those that care about getting dirt/water/debris on their door sill, you can just leave the rear portion of the fender lining there.

wasn't there a thread made about how to beat the living shit out of your car to clear 17x9 + upfront and 18x10 +12 outback??

just treat the wells like a bitch, beat it up and beat it again, and again.

shoot the exposed metal with rustoleum. check for rub spots, if there are some still pesent, beat it some more.

I hadn't even thought of debris getting in there...I just left it becuse it looks better, lol. I cleaned a whole bunch of dirt out of my rear fender wells. Down where those little vent looking things are at.

How do you notch the fenders? What is the process for this...is it the same as rolling?
