 kevin garnett threw a ball into the stands and inadvertently hit a fan with the basketball today and was ejected... the fan was carried outta the stands on a gurney:cry: and im pretty sure he/she was feinting an injury:faint: - being hit by a ball is not gonna injure a person to that extent. with that said, garnett is most likely gonna be sued and he'll probably pay a settlement:hyper: . sooo... I was just wonderin, since basketball players are goin outta control these days and being sued by "fans," what are the odds of becoming rich by going to a basketball game? better than a state lottery? if garnett does get sued:hitit: , should schools also ban dodgeball:wiggle: because a student can become injured and sue the school and other students? just random thoughts :gives:

i didnt know this but yet i found it DAYMN funny..... lol

well the odds of it happening to u is the same as hitting the lottery next to impossible..... the thing about basketball games is that there not alot of them that u can go to, to better ur chances... at gettin struck..... also u have to taje to the account of how bad the day is goin for the players, and where u are sitting... more then likely ur chances of gettin into a fight with a rival fan is pretty much greater... have fun enjoy sports....

I doubt he will get sued, as it didn't appear to be intentional. Also, in the many years Garnett has been in the NBA, he's only been ejected 4 times.

Also, sitting that close to courtside, you have to have "assumption of the risk." There was no video showing how hard that fan got hit though, I couldn't imagine Garnett throwing it that hard for the fan to go to the hospital.

Yeah, I doubt they can claim its Garnett's fault, I'm sure if anything its covered by the arena's insurance or the team's insurance.

That's lame if the fan sues though, its like the McDonalds lady who spilled her coffee and didn't know it was hot. DUH.

Frivolous lawsuits are retarted, people need to earn their way through life like the rest of us.
