go down and they have s13 springs for $80 !!!!!!!!!!!1

the expiry used to be 3/28, but it has since been lengthened...

i called several months ago and the guy i talked to didnt seem to be too knowledgeable,

he said that they were only a 1 inch drop which was teh most you could ever do, i said Eibach makes a2.2 inch drop, and then we might have argued but i didnt want to , on accoutn of the long distance...

is there anywhere i can go to get reliable speck s on these...

also, when i called he said there were lots available, and if they will rid me of the front wheel gap with AGX's, then they be mine...

AGX and Tokico, does that sound good??

Sup-

I bought a set cuz they were so cheap... can't say no to cheap springs. (sure beats cut ones heh). I know they're a 1 inch drop and was also thinking of combining them with some AGX. While tokico doesn't "recommend" you do this, would it be okay? Does anyone have the spring rates as well? Thanks!

Ok......$80 is very tempting.....especially since its from a reputable company. How bad could they be???

So would Tokico blues work well with the Tokico springs since they are both Tokico??? Would KYB AGX be better for the money?? If so, whats the cheapest that you guys have seen them for??

the reason i say AGX's is so that i could set the struts at a lower level, butis that not safe...

someone has to have answers here... where's Tnord???

bump...

will someone post specs or give personal accounts...

if i get AGX's and set them to the lowest level, will it hurt the spring and/or increase the drop at all???

i want more than 1 inch but anything tokico for $80 is awesome

Struts cannot change the ride height of a car unless they are physically jammed up or down. They effect ride quality. Stiffer struts put more bumps into the car as they don't let the springs travel as much. Softer struts will alleviate some bumping to a point, but too soft and the car will "bounce." If you've ever seen a slammed car driving down the road, going over a bump, and seeing the car just rock back and forth on it's suspension, those struts are too soft for the spring rate.

What we need to find is if shocks and struts like Tokico Blues or GR2s will be stiff enough for the spring rates, or if we need to get into adjustables like the AGX. . .

Try these phone numbers and ask for the spring rates. I got them through the Tokico Japan website. The sales person on the phone may be some idiot telemarketer type who'll have no idea....so just ask to be transferred to someone who will know (its gotta be in a shop manual or spec manual there somewhere).

i spoke with a dude from there a few months back and he said there is no such thing as springs over 1.5 inches....?

i think he knew his stuff just not car specific...

i'd like to hear from someone who has them on...

i beleive FFdet posted about these a while ago and said he was getting them, but i havent seen him a round here lately...

ALSO...

i found a good set of 17's, ADR's Falken tires almost brand new for a decent price, if i get bigger rims i prolly want to lower tha car too much eh? i'm not to keen on dropping to much on account of the N1 dual, but that would elminate teh wheel gap right???

say These springs which i think im gonna order when my strutu bar comes in, and GR-2's since they are cheaper and it's only a 1 inch drop, and 17 inch rims.... opinions???

NateDogg from NWN gave me this link to the FA thread about the springs a while ago when the sale first started in feb...

http://forums.freshalloy.com/cgi-bin....0121&p= (http://forums.freshalloy.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=9&t=010121&p=)

check the link to old s13's page...

i think he owns clearcorners.com or something, he has them on his car with the tokico struts... he loves them

i cant afford to go with the tokico blues, i think i'm gonna grab GR-2's and put the rest towards a set of 17's
