Just trying to get some opinions for this project car. Let me know, thanks!

>>>>>>>

Someone was looking at my S14 but ended up buying an S13, so I was thinking about putting it up for sale. I'm pretty lazy with it now that I have an FC, and I don't really want two project cars.

Stats:
95
4 lug
no LSD
Power windows and locks
good interior but no seats(traded them to Alex)
Involved in low speed crash(<4mph) so I tossed the hood and driver side fender.
No rear bumper skin(dunno why I tossed it)
No frame damage

It'll come with:
5 speed tranny
driveshaft
clutch master and slave cylinder
stock suspension(not installed)
Tein HA coilovers(installed)
misc stuffs.

I have been quoted between $200 and $1200 to fix the damage, so I suppose it just depends on who you take it to and how much you get fixed. I was gonna do an S13 front end(onevia) and still probably will if I keep it.

wow.
So since you said NOTHING about the engine or anything related to it... how can you expect people to guestimate ANYTHING?

if it runs... maybe 2.5k max? actually maybe more, it really depends... you gave very little info to judge from.
if not, be happy with 4 figures.

it'd take quite a bit of $ just to not get pulled over.

Also it'd be a RPS13 front end if u wanna be JDM techincal about it... or S13 240sx, which i'm sure is what it would really be. You're talking pop-ups right? Just saying "S13" when referring to a front end is going to make people think s13 silvia. Ugly as sin IMO, but it's your ride, long as it makes u happy.

U should keep the car tho. It'll be worth far more to you as a base for your project than you'd get for it from someone else.

edit: good call on the rad support man. It'll need a new one of those, and that requires cut/weld.

this isn't my car. it's a project car that someone else is selling and that was all the information he put on it. i was just trying to get a good idea of what a reasonable offer to make on the car would be. he hasn't gotten back to me yet about the engine...thanks for the help though.

$500 in current condition. That's all the more I would pay from those pics.

I agree with this. are 240's so popular in CA that people will pay 2.5k for a car missing half its body panels, and covered in dents?

well no and yes..... i just look at it as Labor,Time,Money...

its not worth it.... u can get a better condition s13 for 2k..... s14 are cool but theyre not all that... save ur self the stress... and just a good car from the get go..

Why in the blue hell would you put an S13 "onvia" (pop-up, as I understand it) on an S14? If you feel you must commit such an act, find an S13 with a blown/missing engine, abandoned project or something of the sort, and put your S14 running gear on/in it, assuming that all of this stuff is newer and in better condition.

yea that's what i was thinking. it seemed like a pretty high price for it, i don't know. unless i can talk him way down...haha. and i have no idea why he wanted to do "an S13 front end(onevia)".

More than anything..does it have a CLEAR title?? If its salvage I would not pay a single penny over $500.00 for it IF it runs.

I'd offer $1,000. I'd sell it to that "someone"

the engine is fine, no problems, and it runs. and not salvage...but i will definitely be checking everything once again just to be for sure. it just seems like $2000 is a little much considering all of the work that will need to be done? well, no more than that i think. :ugh: someone said 3k earlier...i think that's too much.

If you have $2k to spend I would keep looking,I have seen s14's on here and Nico forsale for less than this one.

2k is a good deal for the condition NOW. My friend had an s14 in worse condition, front end damage on both sides, hood damage, trunk wouldnt latch right and the subframe was messed up and he sold it for 1k, BUT IT had a new motor and tranny lol. So if someone offers him 2k+ then jump on it.

What it's worth is all relevant to the buyer. It could easily sell for $4k to the ex-honda kid who's been jerking off to drift videos for awhile. Someone who knows the car more and appreciates the repairs needed might pay $2k. Me, since I'd part it out and cut it up to shreds, $300. Base models don't pull the same money on parts and a lot of the valuable stuff is already gone.

I would love to have that car I even have a whole white kouki frontend that I could put on.I wouldnt pay anymore then $1500 for it.

yea...personally, i think he wants a little more than what it's worth...but he said he'd go lower if he takes the tein coilovers out and puts the stock suspension back in. i guess i'll see how it goes in making some kind of deal though.
