Ive searched and maby I just dident come across it but I would like to know from others who run a smic if they have holes or slits in their liner to allow more crossflow. Should I do somthing like this or is it not even an issue?

Just remove your liner completely if it bothers you. You'll probably end up rubbing on the lining if you're lowered.
If not, you can drill holes, or cut a hole and place mesh there. The JDM vehicles with smic have slots molded into the lining. You could also try to source a JDM lining.
I'm sure if you added the vents it would improve flow, but I doubt you would ever notice any performance gains.

Id rather not have salt during the winder and mud and whatever else flung around in there. Ill probly just end up drilling holes, I thought I had seen that the JDM but wasnt sure. If the engineers at Nissan felt they should do it its reason enough for me to. Thanks for the help

The JDM liner has slits cut into them from the factory.
