Hey fellas whats up Im pretty sure you read my help forum before.Ibeen hearing this clunking while im braking and while the rear end torques up and down My dad says its the sub fram bushing that there pretty bad.
So I heard of a trick that you get washers and stiffen the rear up.Well My dad went out and bought like 16 washers that are like 3 inches diameter 1.8 thick and have a 1/58 hole in the middle.
Is it har adding the washers in spot?Is there anything I should be aware of? and have any of you guys ever heard the clunking while braking and rear end torquing up n down?? thanks a million.

yeah, adding in washers may end up altering the suspension geometry or making it worse. The collars he provided the link for at the way to go if you just wanna bring new life and stiffness to them.

Replacing the bushings with dealer parts also might be the "appropriate" way to go. You will need a press for it.

If its the bushing I think hes talking about you need to buy the whole subframe to get the bushing.Nismo makes replacement bushing for it not that expensive at all I think energie suspension makes them as well.

Just get the sleeve kit. It's only $100 jesus.
See what he said:

yes, you have to drop the rear subframe to actually replace them. They are a PITA....trust me. I just finished pounding a set out of my extra subframe, and they are tough little fuggers.
If you wanna see...click my cardoman link at the bottom and check out page 13...towards the center of the page.

i hear that if you put in aluminum sub frame bushing inserts then it rattles pretty bad because of the metal to metal contact...so if you are trying to get rid of the rattling then i suggest poly ones... but the aluminums are good for performance as long as you can put up with the noise...

Bushings are Tq'ed down very well. the noise comes from the vibration transmission from the differential. Locking diffs make more noise.
