i have just started noticing , when i really pound on the pedal , that after the fact i have been smelling burnt oil , why is it doing this? and am i really screwed or is it something that can fixed relatively easy , i DO plan on changing my oil this weekend because of it , i'm gonna use mobil one 0w30 , is that alright for summer driving or is that why my car might be burning oil , any and all help wiht be appreciated thanks in advance(very sensitive subject for me , lol)

possible causes:
valve seals
oil rings

take a look at you spark plugs this weekend, if they have oil on them then u got a problem

I don't think I would use 0w30 if I were you, that's really thin.  Use whatever is recommended (5w30 I would assume).  Burning a tiny bit probably won't hurt anything, but if you go through a quart a week, you should start worrying.  Good luck!

use some thicker oil and you're sure that's your oil burning? not the clutch slipping right, cause my clutch is going out and it make a smell if i mash on it

actually i got it wrong , i did put 5w30 in it , you think it should be thicker??? and it's not my clutch cz i know the smell of burnt clutch and my g/f noticed it too the other day
