I noticed in your sig you said you were a BIACH member...I must say that I find that odd
Also, the link to my site is http://www.steamymirror.com/dsc240sx
its messed up in your sig.
Sounds cool though. I'd say my fav scene is the one where the ae86 raced that honduh boy in his ass dragging civic hatch back

I must say so far from all the episodes that i've seen the battle Tikumi and the other Haichi Roku (if that is how oyu spell it) is the best. Turbo against N/A wow.. it was a great episode.

my fav scene is in 3rd stage the movie where bunta and the mr2 cross paths. Bunta is all kicked back drifting like a mad man when the mr2 kid is wetting himself....
I would have to say my fav race though is want takumi takes itsuki 85 and catchs those creeps..... mad body role thats all i have to say.....

My favorite scene is when bunta is drifting while lighting his cigarette and the other doode is all scared.
Best race is probably when Takumi races the other turbo 86. I love the sound of the turbo.

There's a difference between Curb Humping ("drifting") and drifting... watching Initial D is ok, as long as you get the hard pressed point that it takes lots of TIME to be a good driver, in addition to skill. If people realized:
a: Takumi started out slow and developed speed over time
b: Takumi let the drift come to him. He didn't force it and make the STUPIDEST EXCUSE ON EARTH of "I want to practice it so if it happens on accident I'll be prepared".
c: Even after driving for years, Takumi still has LOTS to learn, and it's a point that they show throughout the series.
d: People who force their car to do something CRASH. Iketani, Itsuki, Nakazato, Shingo, Seiji, and the dude with the Celica (forgot his name and couldn't find it online) all have nice encounters with the curb (and worse). Even Keisuke and Mako push the car too hard and spin out.
My fav race: FD vs EVO IV, because it just makes me believe even more that Keisuke is a better driver than Takumi.

I heard the Initial D game sucks
It's just that the anime really does teach a lot, while people seem to avoid those lessons and proceed to go "hump a curb".
Besides... I really like anime...

I agree with ace about the drifting thing, I've been driving a 76hp mercedes that weighs 4800lbs and driving that hard (it's rwd) and now that i have my 240 all i have to do is drive the way i have and the back end kicks out, let off the gas and it comes back in..... the drift is not forced, it just happens naturally...... it's faster to not drift through a turn anyways, but it is fun for u-turns

I just finish watching the 3rd stage of Initial D. It took me the longest to watch it because I didn't want it to end. I almost cried that it was finished (just kiddin). Well they said that there is going to be more initial d, but I do not know, do yall know if there is going to be anytime soon. Man the whole series is great and I do take most of yall views about just going out and doing the things they do in the anime just because it looks so cool, but it is best to be yourself when you drive and you will learn how to improve your driving.

If there's one think I'll keep stressing, it's that if Initial D got one thing right, it's that good driving takes a LOT of time and practice.
Watch Battle Stage. The last race and the words at the end make you want to rip something apart and demand more.

I don't think the 4th stage is out yet or even if it is confirmed. There is supposed to be a real-actor movie sometime too I think but I can't confirm that either.

ok.. hey dsc... yeah u know i love the whole i dea of playing around with that stuff, ...even with my show car! just for kix!
ace- not trying to sound defensive, i'm in no way realting my skill to takumi's. i will never be that good. but i want to get into it. i'm trying to learn and it will take a lot of practice. it's sounds gay, but it's a combination of me maturing, this board, chilling with Dsc, and watching Initial D.. well i know it sounds kinda queer.. but it doesn't matter.
p.s. i'm really happy, i'm going to buy my other s13 fastback, sometime this week, and i'm gonna drive that around until i can sell my s13 now for the right price, as soon as i sell it i gotta pay my dad back though. It
s worth it i'm sooo excited. First mod-Swaybars!

lol. i wasn't saying you were out being one of those "curb-humpers". Just making sure people know that Initial D does teach some good stuff, and to pay attention to that rather than trying to mimmick drift.
4th Stage??? Haven't heard anything about it yet...
In the manga, the story gets to the point where Bunta gets the WRX and races Takumi. Battle stage hints at such a race at the very end.

Yah, sorry but you have to love initial d... even bbp and hipposleek would like it if they actually watched it. There was a certain suspension of disbelief with some of the driving, but it IS an anime, and they did a very good job explaining everything and staying very close to realism where ever they could. My favorite scene might be when the engine blows... it showed that you just can't pound a car no matter how good you are cause eventually it will give up... imagine how much faster that would happen with a rev limiter hitting noob smashing around corners... Also the scene where takumi jumps against the MR2 was great too, or when Bunta was explaining the new engine... I have seen that series like 30 times (well the races anyways) but I have long since given up the dilusion I will ever be able to drive like that

one real life episode involving my car, a Civic, and a good 40-50mph drift was all too much like Bunta passing the SW20 on Akina.... and thus my backing to my statement to "keep it off the roads".
