How many people here are running oil coolers without thermostats? Ive seen it done, but Im just not sure its a good idea. I've also seen people cover their heat exchangers with some tinfoil for highway driving etc...to keep oil from being over cooled with no thermo.
I need some advice on wether I need one, or If I'd be a hack for not running one.
the car will be tracked and street driven.

any ideas where to get cheap inline thermos? I know that they sell sandwich plates that have thermos built in, but I already have a filter relocation kit. Also, what temperature thermo should I be looking at?
thanks
