Ok guys, here is the problem i want to fix.. i have a pretty clean S13, very straight body and mint interior.. shocks are blown beyond belief.. i'm in process of getting coilovers shortly to correct that problem as the entire car rattles like a can of spray paint.. most annoying part is the squeaky moonroof (the one that only has a latch to open about 1" upward) not power.. when closed it squeaks.. i'm wondering if anyone has a similar problem or has any idea what to do to prevent this? perhaps add some sort of material next to the weatherguard so that it doesnt move around? The moonroof closes absolutely fine and nothing leaks at all.. it just that it squeaks to hell and its beyond annoying! Any advice would be greatly appreicated! Many tks!

just seal it up and make it permanantly closed. You could try getting new moonroof rubber from the dealer that would probably help a lot.

sup dave!! hmm that sounds good to seal it permanently, its not like i ever use it anyways.. when its open it makes even more noise, rattles.. about sealing it.. any ideas what to use to seal it for good yet not have it make any noise afterwards? tks bro!

Well I know old_s13 aka Mike Mamos from clearcorners did it on his car. I could ask him. I would think a silicone window seal might work well. Either that or have a piece of metal cut to fit and have it welded in. then reinforce from the inside.

yeah if you get a chance to give him a hollar let me know, i guess it would be easier wit silicone but if welding is needed i can take care of that as well.. perhaps he would have more info on how about he went to do it on his.. many tks again! let me know
