i was on my way back from work... just now about 10 minutes ago.. and i stop at the lights on this remote route... 2 lanes going, 2 lanes coming... there is nobody in sight for about a mile, and this 90-92 (dont know) predule stops right next to me, and when i turn my radio down his revving his engine at least 5000 rpm... i just looked at him and smiled... when the lights went green... all that bitch could see was my plate! and like i say in my quote, it was soon just a BLUUURR! hahaha.. now it wasnt that good.. but it wuz nice to see the look in his face, it was a very well lighted route, and i could see him... biting his lips trying to get more power out of his car! not being able to keep up!! hauhauahua.. i love it! &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':cool:'>

Personally I think preludes are lead sleds IMHO. I have yet to see any domestic market for that car (Well in Japan anyway). What can I say that car is not even a challenge to a Tureno or Levin. A friend of mine did an H22 swap into a 3rd gen lude and was smoking Stang GT's left and right. &nbsp;Add a little VTEC and everything just seems better &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp; Anyway, Preludes do weight an assload. &nbsp;I agree, they are lead sleds.

I have seen one Honda over here compete with a semi tuned CA-18 and he smoked this shit out of it every time. That was my friend Darrells integra. He has a turbo set up with the Power FC fully tuned (By him might I add) Full exhaust, Racing wastegate and almost full interior. i am sure he'd feel shitty if the cops busted him, what kind of question was that? he said the road was clear, i am sure he wouldn't be street racing in heavy traffic. Generally speakin (i said generally) street racing is relativly safe, most of us have &nbsp;driving capablity for unforseen situations. I think there's more soccer mom's killing other motorist than streetracers. Granted i am not one to go out looking for races and don't race that often, but everyonce in a while a perfect situation pops up and testosterone takes over. just use your head. not everyone wants to take a 15 second car to the strip.

first of all when you street race you gotta know where you are.. like i raced that prelude because &nbsp;drive by that place everyday.. and i have never seen a damn cop! lol... i have a radar.. which helps a litte i'd say.. but even if the cops caught me.. i would be happy by seeing the guy biting his lips trying to get more power out of his "almighty Prelude Si" hhaha.. thats how honda people look at their predules... they worship the damn thing... Hrmm, i guess it was an invalid question. &nbsp;Do you pay too much for insurance on your 15 second car? &nbsp;All I know is that I do, and frankly its not worth it. &nbsp;If i had a soccer mom-mobile, i dont think my minivan would cost as much as my 240sx, but according to your logic, they do more damage, thus should have higher insurance premiums. (not true)

Street racing is not safe, they do not meet road track, road condifions set by the NHRA, Nascar, etc... no matter how many times you may drive on a single road, it could still be unpredictable. &nbsp;Its not like theres a repair crew waiting for some chunk of ashphalt to break loose, or a large fisher to open, and repair the road to its original condition. =P

Hey, we all are good drivers! right! =) &nbsp;BUT have you ever thaught if that 17-19 year old punk in the prelude is a good driver? &nbsp;What if he crash's and gets killed, are you responsible? hrmm,,,... Well, i wasn't offended at all. Except to me it sounded alot like you were getting on defencive side of hondas. I'm quite open minded, and i don't give a shit bout stuff like this, it's just that i thought was kinda outa nowhere and not related to the race. And i respect hondas, just not their owners. Yet that doesn't make my judgement any harsher or anything. I think hondas are great cars when used for what they were created, not for what their owners want them to be (doesn't really refer to preludes, but for most hondas it's true). Kinda wordy, but i hope you get the point. If he beat a prelude, congratulate him, don't say something that he prolly doesn't wonna think about. I understand that you like your car, but if it loses, it loses. And that doesn't only go out to you, but to most honda owners on this forum. So don't take it personally either.

Well since he says 90-92, i don't exactly which generation. But the ones before 92, were damn slow and ugly. Only 140hp. The ones that came in 92, (my fav gen of preludes) still only have 160hp(in si models). The new ones are pushing 200hp so no competition there....

Can't we all just get along? Well as far as the Hondas go, I think that personally, I turn down 95% of challenges on the street. First of all I am not saying that my car is fast, it's a daily driver with a universal muffler from PDM, and a SS. That's all. I know that half of the Civcs running around here, NW Louisiana are FF wanna-bes. Huge stickers, rims and 1.5 inch exhausts. i will only street race in non-residental areas, mostly the industrial parts of town after 7pm. Half the time, my 4yr old is in the back seat, he likes me to hit the rev limter but I don't race when he is in the car.
I hate the crap that people say, street racing is dangerous. No kidding, that's part of the fun. Skateboarding is dangerous too. The thing is doing it when it's not going to kill you. I think that being 25, I have a little bit of judgement with those years. not to be insulting, because I kno you're different. But I always find it that "Honda" people always talk about smoking and racing domestic cars. Is it because people that drive domestics hate them the most? They fail to mention that a half decent Nissan, Toyota, or Subaru would swallow them whole.

I am trying for page two. Istill think it is not even worth talking about. When I get the VCD that My friend made from this past Sunday you will see how Farily safe (Despite the fact) street racing can be. The Japanese take safety into consideration. They race on a three lane road with a cement Divider (and $10,000 palm trees my friend got ran off the road by Bosozouku and had to buy one) Needless to say he painted his name on it. IF you take everything into consideration do it on a street that has no Bldg., No people (Except spectators) and Just pay attention. What they do is pull out and turn left at the "T" Thus the turning on to the main road right after a green light then they line up three revs and your gone. I see 180's and Silvias beating the Shit out of GTR then I see some RX-7's Beating the shit out of everything NOTE I said some RX-7's.
