Up for sale is one of the finest examples of an early Z car! This car was built from scratch in 2004 by me personally. Every nut, bolt, bearing, bushing, and anything else has been replaced with brand new parts. This is one of very few Z's to have the Japanese SR20DET engine in place and be running strong. This car is also featured in the latest volume of the Grip Video. Please watch the video before asking for pictures, it has more shots of the car than I could possibly send!!

No expense has been spared in the production of this car. I have TONS of pictures so please email me if you need more.

I am accepting reasonable offers.

Title says 240Z, video says 260Z. ????? If my memory serves me right 1974 was indeed a 260Z.

Also, what is your reason for selling?

You are correct ThatGuy. Its a 260Z not a 240Z and given that value is not nearly as high.

Sorry, I post it as a 240Z as I generally figure most people recognize that better than a 260Z. It is indeed an early model 260Z - I have no idea how that affects its value, in fact the 74 260Z is the only year Z (to my knowledge) to quality for California Historical Vehicle plates as it was the lowest production year.

And my second question, "Reason for selling?"

Personally if I had a car that rare, with that much work put into it, I wouldn't be willing to part with it. I might have considered taking this off your hands, had I seen it sooner.

I have a couple of offers in the $20k range.

Reason for selling: I am too busy with work and this sits downstairs in my garage for long periods of time (I start it frequently of course).

it being a 260z shouldnt really effect the value, because of the car being so heavily modified....

This car is indeed a work of art. I have seen it in action many times and it performs flawlessly. The work on the car is exceptional and kudos to all the fine people that were involved with the build. Whomever is lucky enough to own this car will not be disappointed in the slightest.

Hi!If you're interested in a trade,i won't mind trading my '91 240 for it.You can check it out on my cardomain page.It has pretty much everything. It's a sleeper because i live in a neighborhood full of young kids who like these cars.Let me know if you're interested,so i can send you a list of all the mods.I got rid of the gold Work VS-XX wheels.I got the silver Volk GT-U on the bottom of the first page.

I have a 1972 240Z with HISTORICAL VEHICLE plates. So it isnt the only Z car to qualify for that registration. The car looks pretty awesome, and looks great fun for the track, but really calling a 260Z an early Z is inaccurate, even 73's get tossed out of that category.

they said its the only year of the 260 that gets historical plates, nothing about 240z not getting them.

"in fact the 74 260Z is the only year Z (to my knowledge) to quality for California Historical Vehicle plates as it was the lowest production year."

That is saying the only year Z...

Also 260Z is ONLY 1974, so I would imagine that would be the only year 260Z to get those plates.

Regardless, an incorrect statement, as I too own a 1972 240Z with Historical Registration.
