So I'm going out to my car yesterday to go to work and I notice my car looks funny...wow...it looks sorta high off the ground...wtf?? I take a few steps closer out of the apartment stairs and it hits me...my wheels are gone!!!! My car is sitting on bricks with stolen wheels and busted kouki skirts. The police and insurance and apartment people have been informed as well as the folks on SEDA, and now Zilvia.

If you ever see these wheels for sale on the internet, let me know! They are sooooo rare that they have to be mine. Only a couple hundred were ever made to my knowledge. They are very popular amongst the VW crowd.

They are Alba Crown 601, 15x7.5" +29, black face with a 3 inch polished lip.
Sumitomo Srixon 4 205-60-15 tires.

These wheels also go by the name "MOMO Quasar" and one other name but can't remember.

Get that mofo's license plate or send me the web address if it's posted online.

I don't want to tell exactly where I am anymore, but I'm in the southeast. I got some new shoes on the way though. Brand new 17 inch 5 spokes :D I guess everything works out in the end. Although, I did like those wheels and I would have rather kept the money I just spent on new wheels...

make sure you get wheel locks on your new rims.

Aftermarket wheels + No wheel locks = "Where'd my wheels go?"

Sorry for your loss. I hope you find the wheels, and the people responsible are held accountable. Please remember the wheel locks this time.

It's not that I didn't remember wheel locks, it's just that they didn't fit right in the holes. The inside of the Alba bolt hole is concaved very strangely. I tried 3 different styles of locking nuts, as well as 2 different kinds of regular nuts, and none of them tightened right. They would work their way loose after a few miles of driving. Sooo I had to resort to using standard sized nuts with the right concaving on them. I'm going to put at least 2 different types of locks on the new wheels. If I can find 4 different types of locks that somewhat look similar I'll put a different one on each stud.

I'm 99.9% positive that they were the only set ever on a 240 too. They are 4x100 bolt pattern and I used 4x114.3-4x100 adapters. I just hope that my new wheels get here before Saturday because I'm supposed to be running in a drift even at the speedway and I only have the steelies that the car is on right now. Damn thieves could have waited another week...

Do you have a picture of the car on crates?
Sorry, just curious.

Yeah, but it's too embarassing. My car looked like a beater POS after they got through with it. I'm doing body work right now. I have a few layers of bondo drying as we speak :D Hopefully I'll get the spots all smoothed out and painted in the next couple days. It looks like crap right now. Sitting on three 14" steel wheels and one 14" NX2000 wheel. They've never been aired up by me so they have like 18 PSI in them, lol. They look flat, but I'm not driving it for a week so I don't care.

why would he take pics of his car on crates???
its like if you got your money stolen and people asking to see your empty wallet, wtf is the point. just imagine a 240 on crates. it doesnt take a genious
btw /\ anthony did you get ur car running yet?

BTW it was bricks...

I doubt a crate could hold up a 2600 pound car... or actually about 2500 pounds with the wheels off.

I took a couple of pictures for insurance purposes although I doubt I'll be going through insurance for replacing them and reparing the damage. I'm in the middle of bondoing the skirts back on and I'll paint the bondoed areas with rattle cans. Easy fix.

Just imagine a black sileighty with no wheels and concrete blocks under it. The sideskirts were pushed upward from the weight of the car resting on them. That resulted in cracked bondo where I had molded them to the body which in term pulled some of the paint off around the seem. One of them was hanging off completely in the back almost as if they tried to take it but realized I put 10 million screws on it to hold it on...

I don't think it's really necissary to show pictures of it. It's like showing pictures of a dying kid in the hospital before his heart transplant or something. Wait a couple weeks and I'll post pictures of the repair and the new wheels.
