To tell you exactly, what happens is when I accelerate (to redline), the car will pull hard up to 4000rpm then taper off at 5500rpm and then continue to pull hard past 5500 to redline. So its like; "weeee, ahh shit, weeeee". I thought it was the clutch, but my mechanic friends said it wasnt because when a clutch goes, its usually consistent in high RPMS and they also did a "stalling in 4th-gear at a stop" test and the car even passed that. Any of you have ideas what it could be? I was thinking fuel filter...possibly pump? Thanks for looking

Check the timing when my KA went it would pull until higher RPM's when it would die... I too thought it was the clutch but it was my cam timing

How do I check the timing? How do I adjust the timing correctly?

unfortuneately the only way to check cam timing is to take off the valve cover set the crank to tdc and check to see if the marks on the chain and sprocket line up... the ignition timing you need to have a timing light to check it in which case your better off taking it to a shop and having them run a diagnostic cus it could be a number of things
