if you have spark, fuel and air and it won't start...

your timing must be off. what kind of job were you doing to the car? more information please.

i get this question alot with people who removed their distributor doing the timing chain so i'm going to guess that's what happened to you too.

getting it retimed is more then just lining up the timing pin to 20 degrees and lining up the hash mark on the distributor. you have to make sure the motor isn't 180 degrees off. even when it's all lined up, it takes a bit of trial and error with the distributor to actually get it started.

well it will only start off of carb cleaner and u have to keep the gas to the floor and it barlly ideals and its flooding i think cause it had gas mixed with the oil so i changed the oil and everything new plugs and wires distribeter cap and rotor but when it starts it barlly runns u have to keep the gas to the floor and it still only runs for a sec

if it keeps on flooding then you have a injector problem... either a stuck injector or a blown injector o-ring.

it has to flood ALOT for your oil to get washed out with gas that quickly. when it dumps that much fuel into the motor, it's not going to run.

ok so can you explain why the injectors do that and if i go get injector o-rings you think that, that will make it stop or what you think i should do

well i can't really tell you if you have a bad injector or a bad o-ring over the internet.

if its a bad o-ring:

you need to buy an o-ring from an auto parts store, pull the injector and install the o-rings on the injector. then you install the injector with the new o-rings back into the fuel rail. look up the proper procedure, it's very sensitive to failure.

if its a bad injector, you need another injector.
