Lights for 1989 240sx

Hi i have a few questions i just got a 1989 Nissan 240sx everything stock, so i wanted to do some stuff to the car to make it look a bit nicer. I saw some people in the are had some brighter lights and since i dont know anything about cars, i would know what lights are good or were could i get them. So i was woundering if someone could give me some info on what i should be looking for what i should stay away from.
