What are the brightest replacement light bulbs? My buddy runs the sylvania xenon and they look pretty good just looking for a direct replacement for my S14 that will look better than the stock ones. Thanks for any info

Sylvania Silverstars... no blue/purple bullshit.... just nice bright white light (say that 10 times fast)..

If you have a zenki s14 and your headlights are yellowing, that will suck the life out of your light output, so consider using something like Mothers plastic polish and clean those headlights up.

And no matter what the tell you, the Koukis use H1's, unlike the Zenkis that use something else, I don't know.

Philips Vision Plus beat out even the Osram silverstars in the 2005 test.
I run the phillips now in my kouki, they are nothing short of amazing for a xenon bulb.
32$ shipped from powerbulbs.uk

You can get the +50 bulbs in the states. Clearcorners carries Narva's which I have on my Starlet, amazing bulbs btw, danielstern lighting, and rallylights also carry these bulbs. I had the hella +50s on my s14, they're awsome bulbs...

They're just white. No coating or tint on the glass.
no pics right now. I've run Osram's, a bunch of hyped shit bulbs (PIAA, Raybrig and koito) and an HID kit. The philips bulbs are the best out of all (only better then the HID because drop in kits are garbage and glare like mad)
I put them in my parents and girlfriend's car after trying them in my own.

I used to use a H3 pair of 100watt bulbs that I bought from Kragen for $10-15 each in the headlights on my other car. Worked fine. I think that they were Bosch or Piaa?

I just ordered the phillips vision plus from powerbulbs after reading kouki ka-t's comments and the reviews on the site and they sound like there awesome bulbs. According to powerbulbs its phillips best bulb and won an award or 2 so thats good enough for me. Ill post pics when I get them. The S14 Zenki does use a H4 low beam right?

Lots of good info in this thread. Is there any danger in running higher wattage bulbs? I have heard of shorting and melting when this is done. (havent read about 240s specifically, just on other cars).

sorry for hijack. =)

when i ran some ebay "hyperwhite" bulbs on my old altima it melted the plug on it. had to ghetto rig it with a stock bulb with wires only. duno if that helps. just be careful cuz stock wiring sometimes is not meant to flow that much electricity.

Color difference and how bright it may seem in the housing doesn't prove that its bright bright. The only way to show that it's bright is how far it illuminates on the road.
