I goofed up from purchasing a jdm gauge cluster on ebay last week. Just got it today and realized it does not fit my year. It only fits zenki's cuz it has 4 plugs instead of 3 like mines. Gauge didnt come with original connector plugs either so im screwed. I am thinking of selling it back on ebay and list it for zenki only. But before I do that me thinks you can take apart the cluster and swap the speedometer and tachometer unit. Therefore bypassing the missing connectors plugs on the back of the outer unit casing. Anyone know if this can be done? I can try it but I dont want to deal with the hassle of removing my current cluster from my car.
You can, but why? You live in USA, your USDM gauge has the correct lables. KM/H is cooler? Plus your usdm gauge has km/h lables on them.
Zenki and Kouki cluster are both different. Look closer and you will see. The zenki tach is 3/4 of a circle, the kouki is a full circle. The zenki speed gauge is full circle, but the lable off the speed isn't like the Kouki.
Best thing to do if you want the JDM tyt3 crap; is to sell that one and pick up a S14 Kouki gauge cluster.

Damn I guess I have to sell it back, the tach on the zenki cluster aint a full circle like the kouki ones. Thx for pointing that out NRG =) Hmm but the plastic trim thats holding the gauges might interchange with the koukis so that might work. You know what I mean? Chang ethe whole front and swap the electronic parts from the back only. Might work? I just dont want to go through selling things back.
Oh yeah reason for this jdm cluster change is that my speed sensor is khm cuz of my sr. Also I prefer the black gauges as it dont look all ricey as the white ones. Thats just my opinion btw no offense to anyone.
i'm using stock sr20 speed sensor and it works fine with my usdm gauge cluster.
