View Full Version : Ex-Girlfriend What Do I do - The End Result (kind of long)

So I read all your advice. Some was good, some was bad, some just made fun of me.

I appreciate everyone taking time out of their lives and schedules to give advice no matter what it was. So without further ado here's is what I did and the result that came of my actions...

Valentine's Day She went to work at 9 am. During the day I thought about all the actions that I could take and decided that the best thing to do was to tell her the truth. That I was tired of her staying at my place and tired of her treating me like her "boyfriend" and having her tell me that she wanted independence then asking for something two seconds later.

So when she came back at 6 pm I told her to change and we'd go out to dinner. At dinner I laid it all out on the table and asked her what she thought. I opted for the dinner conversation for the public arena to keep the drama and what-not to a minimum. She cried of course but kept it low key as I knew she would, but I explained to her that I wasn't going to do it anymore.

When we got back from dinner she packed some of her stuff and went to a mutual friends house to spend the night until she could get the rest of her stuff then I went out drinking with some friends.

Some of you were right...I guess she told her Abercrombie fag what happened and he came looking for me at the bars. When he found me he asked me why I did what I did and I explained the whole thing to him. I don't know if he was drunk or pissed at me or her or what but he took a swing at me and I proceeded to kick his ass in the middle of the bar. I know the owner so they threw him out, called the cops and let me stay in the back when the cops showed up. He is not pressing charges and even called to apologize telling me that he was not going to have anything to do with her anymore b/c she told him that she was living some place else.

Today she came for the rest of her stuff and asked if she could move back if a lot of things changed and I refused telling her that it would just end up being the same thing over and over again so she needed to still move out.

I know that was long but thanks everyone for listening and letting me vent...it's a lot cheaper than a shrink. Did I do the right thing? I think I did but for some reason now I feel bad b/c she has no one.

well for one u did the right thing in just telling the honest truth, and its not your fault that dude came looking for u.... but its evident that he didnt chime on the sweet deal.... and for that hes an ass in my book... dont stress yourself over an episode like that... she just needed a nice swift kick in the buttocks... to go on her very own way... and u helped no matter what happend...

and remember A&F guys are myspace addicts... they have low self-esteem...

Leave her out. If you get back with her. She'll continue to get other boyfriends and what not. While you want to get someone else but won't for fear of cheating on her. Live your life. But don't be a pussy and let her back because she isn't getting back with you.

Dood - you did the right thing. as for feeling bad, she made her choice and thats her consequence. just remeber how she mistreated you the next time you feel bad. you'll get angry and start to hate her - this will help you cope with the situation cause you'll hate her so much that you'll want to cut her out your life completely. kinda joking/serious about that too.

For those unaware of the initial story, read here:

... and to the starter of this thread, you did the right thing, while having done it a little late. The time to have kicked her out was when you broke up, derious business.

The best thing to do is what's best for you. At the end of the day, no one will think for you.

You made the right choice, she made the poor choices. Which now leaves her alone.

You feel guilty because you have a heart, and because you're a nice guy. She took advantage of that.

Realize how much strength it took for you to stick to your guns and do what was best for you.

I applaud you. It isn't ever easy, especially when you live together, or if it's gone on for some time.

*high-five*

I guess their is some relation between A&F and North Carolina. I only known one guy that rocked AF clothes and he was from Ohio. Must have something to do with lack of cultural development in the middle of the country. Thank god for the coasts! Life is too short to dress brokeback...

I'm not about to spend $79.99 on some tore up A&F jeans, when I can buy $25 jeans and tear them up myself, for free.

http://www.abercrombie.com/anf/onlinestore/collection/11551_10_b.jpg

I do buy, however, $150+ Nike Dunks. Don't come in telling me buying these shoes are the same as buying $80 pants. The difference is that these Dunks aren't available at EVERY mall, of EVERY city, of EVERY state in the US of A. Besides, alot of the guys who shop at A&F are girly men. What a bunch of fanboys. :keke:

well, you have balls after all! Congrats on doing the right thing. albeit a little late in the game, but you finally stood up for yourself and stopped her from walking on you. Of course she cried , no more cake and eat it too, for her.

As far as the guy goes he is one fucked up dude. You kick her out , she tells him he comes looking for you? Then he tells her he is going to stop seeing her because you kicked her out? Man, was he taking her for a ride.
She really got what she deserved.
Once again congrats for having self esteem.

where does it say she told the fag to go looking for him. sounds like the fag decided to do it all by himself, based on the girl telling him what happened.
