Engine problem HELP!

Hi, I have a 95 240sx Auto (i know it sucks)
But i was driving my friend to work this afternoon and the car runs great...but on the way back all of a sudden the exhaust note started to sound like a WRX's and the engine has like 1/5th the power it normally would have, it doesnt pull at all, im really worried that the car is going to die..im gonna go out and check the distributor and the cords..does anyone have any answers for this..it just happened all of a sudden with no warning at all..thanks

Could be whole host of things, check for spark first, then check if you smell unburnt fuel (maybe your fuel pump went to hell) after that rip the plugs out, check them, if they look dodgy do a compression test,

And dont worry about it being an auto, one of our fastest drag cars in SA is an auto S14, took me a month to make his converter for him to handle the power,

i checked the distributor and the wires and the plugs i think one of the electrodes is worn out..i hope this is the only problem..
