i have been on this subject for a while now... and one thing still doesnt make sense.. im sorry for asking this... but i looked and i dont think it has been asked and it wuznt on the faqs page.... so... i can buy a pretty good running KA24DE, and it will come with the transmission for about $500, to swap with my KA24DE auto, or i could also buy all the parts to do a transmission swap... but that would cost me about 1 grand and it wouldnt be as good as if it came factory right? please somebody clear this for me... is this information correct!? have i learned well this month?

i am unsure of what your question is. but i can tell you I just bought all the parts for a 5sp swap in my car and it was $500 + $250 shipp + ?? labor. It will be just as good as the factory too. If you're talking about swapping your KA+auto for a KA+manual for $500 + labor, that'd be a good deal.

Keep in mind that the only thing that comes w/ an engine and tranny that you will need for the swap is the tranny.  No pedal cluster, no master-cyl, etc.  Price those out and then decide if you need the whole thing or could get the pieces for less.

It's JUNK YARD TIME!! &nbsp; That's right ladies and gentlemen...grab your tools and a buddy and head down to your local auto refuse. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
Gotta love spending 2-3hrs at a junk yard pulling parts off a car <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
