What does a clutch type lsd sound like? i dont know anybody with one on their car so i dont really know what they sound like. Does anyone have a sound/video clip where it can be heard?

my nismo SSS is chchchchch of the tires very rarely clunk clunk.
love it!

I know for a fact... that when you are not in gear, putting foot on gas or not. It willl not make any know noises. I know for sure . you can quote me on that one.

Beside that search.
There was a tread about it no long ago. Some clunk, some dont.

Wow, that thing is locked! My car splits time between lsd clunking and tires chirping. If you have exhaust, you'll probably never notice the clunk of a broken-in lsd. It's only realllly noticeable in parking lots and other places where you're making tight, low-speed turns. In which case it's like the descriptions above, CUHCUHCUHCUHCUH...

I noticed on my friends Z33 he has the GT-Pro version. It's was quieter then s-chassis diffs that I hear (ie: cusco, kaaz, tomei, not nismo, it clunks like twice then shshsh of tires). I also notice his more because he runs such a wider tire then me 245 up front 275 outback. Also the type of oils you use also play a part in the severity and the loudness of the clunking.
