I have an S14 on stock suspension, so will 17 x 9 +35 work all around on say 235 / 45 / 17 tires? If not, on 225 / 45/ 17 tires? I don't want the tires to be too streched, these are 9 inch rims. I hope I don't need spacers because I think they are lame.

Pretty sure youre gonna need them for the fronts. I run 35mm spacers all around with 215/45s on mine with rolled fenders.

if its the car in ur pics.. yah shouldnt be a problem.
lol. my friend has that size and i doo not like it, but i dont like the sportmaxs in teh first place.
I think 215s would look better tho, they will be stretch on there, but you shouldnt have to worry about clearence with them.

LOL, just because my car isn't grinding on the ground doesn't make it gay :fawkd: I think cars that are really lowered are :ghey: personally. Anyway, thanks for your input. And yes, I don't want to go with 215's because that's super streched which = :ugh: I'm not trying to win drift events here.

i agree, being super duper crazy slammed is a little overkill for me...but then again, your deville ride height also doesnt do much for me...both appearance and handling-wise; cant imagine the roll on that bitch...
but, you shouldnt have any clearance issues with either susp or fenders...id run a 225/45, but you may think its stretched too much...try some 235s...
nice YZF600R btw...gotta have love for the thundercats...

you would need spacers for the fronts to clear the suspension. the offset is to high for a 9" wheels to clear suspenion in the front

I'm in the same boat. Trying to find the right wheel/tire/offset for my s14. From what I gather an offset in the neighborhood of +20 is pretty decent. So, if you are at +35, then you'll want to look into some 20mm spacers to get them to the right spot. 1" = 25.4mm, for what its worth.

OK, some people in here have told me I won't need spacers up front, some say I will. What should I measure to to get a for sure answer? Measure from the hub to the spring, and then how do I include the offset? I'm a wheel newbie :ughd:
I mean if it is a 9 inch rim, then the center line of the wheel is at 4.5 inches, and since it's +35 that means it's 4.5 inches + 35 mm right? So I just measure from the hub and see if it will fit that clearance? Or am I missing something else?
UPDATE: Ok, I just went out and measured with my dad. Right now as it sits with my crappy 17x7's there is very little space between my tire and the shock/spring. So I used my setup right now as a baseline and 17x9's up front will fit just bearly, I'm talkin 10mm max clearance. If I had a 15mm spacer, which would bring the offset down to +20 it would fit just like my rims do currently. But, I think spacers are lame so I'm gonna run the 17x9's up front.

Do some research on r33 wheels. Some people say you have to run 5mm on those, depending on suspension choice, and theyre 17x9 +30 which already sticks out 5mm more then the sport max. I still think its gonna rub, but then again your car isnt very low, so it just might clear.
BTW, if you plan on running like a 245/45 its more then likely gonna rub without a spacer.

you will DEFINTELY need spacers if you have coilovers. You'll need atleast a 15mm if not a 2omm spacer up front to clear
