Problems....

Whenever I throw the car in reverse (or when it starts to roll back) I hear this loud/annoying/ chomping noise coming from the rear. Sometimes it gets worse when I push the brakes and in the motion of reversing. I was wondering if anyone else has been through this problem. My friend advised me to change my differential oil since I haven't changed it since I bought the car 7 yrs. ago, but could that be the reason why its making this nasty grinding noise?

Check your diff oil, pull the pumpkin and clean it all out re-seal the cover and add oil to it and re install... hopfully you didnt mess anything up, oh yes, take car of your car or get a honda...
