so I'm considering a couple options as far as engine possibilities go for being dropped into a '93 240sx. I have been debating between the possibility of doing the Red Top SR20DET vs. the Black Top SR20DET vs. the RB25DET. I was curious if anyone had any opinion as to which might be the most easily modified here in the states? Are parts very readily available? Or will I likely be ordering most of what I need for these engines from japan? I'm hoping to use the setup, with other mods(ie suspension, bigger brakes, etc), to get more into drifting...but just was curious about you guys' thoughts on those. Also was curious as to which platform others had had good luck with as far as using it for this purpose goes? Thanks for any input...I'm still learning myself so any info/opinions would be appreciated(or if this has already been addressed in a previous post, the location of this post). Thanks!!
Chris

A stock car with LSD is good for drifting. Start there, and like Aaron said -- SEARCH.

Yea, why wouldn't you go with the RB for drifting? Don't tell me because it's heavier.

xntsofknhrdcorx, please SEARCH, but I'm feeling nice today. SR parts are readily available at most performance shops. RB parts will be harder to find, but they are out there. S13 redtop and blacktop are practically the same, just that blacktops have a better chance at having less miles on them.

Start out with suspension (a good set of coilovers), then suspension links, then you can either get bigger calipers for your brakes, or just upgrade the stock rotors to some nice slotted ones, with performance brake pads and stainless steel brake lines. Then focus on power.
