This dude I know is selling a set of Volk wheels that were on his Skyline and I was wondering what Volks are they? They have two bolt patterns, what I think is cool, because when I'll go for 5 lug, I wouldn't have to get new wheels right away. He's asking 1000euros from them. That's about 1200 USD.

They are 8x17 offset 35 in front and 9x17 offset 40 in rear with pretty new Bridgestone 235/45 front tires and 255/35 rear tires on them. What do you think? Are they worth it and how flush woud the fit on my RS13?

That wheel pictured has the most scratches on it.

Thanks in advance

Oh, and allmost forgot, they are missing the centre caps. Can I get new ones somewhere?

Well they look like an older version of GT-Cs, but they went by a different name.

Look like Volk Racing Group CV to me. But I've only seen them in multi piece, not one piece like the ones you show.

I personally would talk him down atleast 200 bucks because of the curb damage and those center caps; you're never finding another set of those probably. The sizes are decent but you will probably have problems with clearence with that size tires if you have coilovers or anything like that.

I doubt that he will negotiate the price, 'cos there's another potential buyer who's after these. Other wheels don't have curb damage. And yes, I'm never going to find an another set. Volks are super rare over hare, I could get new ones, but the price would be 2-3 times higher. I don't have coilovers, but I'm getting them later. I can allways use spacers, right?

If you look at his second picture, you can see a CV in the upper right corner of the wheel. Like I said I have only seen them in multi-piece, like these...

But they have the center caps and smaller oval in-dents that the GT-C doesn't have.

Spacers always work and if they are some of the performance oriented Bridgestones' it is actually a good price. Bridgestones are definitely some of my favorite tires. What is the minimum wage in Finland? I have no idea what your economy is like so that might not be as much money to you as it is me. I just see damage and it makes me get skittish to the price. I would assume those are forged monoblock though which is the way good. F it, go for it and get them powercoated black

I don't know about the minimum wage, but the economy is similiar to Sweden. Taxes are one of the highest in the Europe. Just to compare: A set of new 17" Rota D2s cost about 800 euros (~1000$) whitout tires and a new ViewSonic 32" LCD HDTV costs 1200 euros (~1400$). 22% of the price of those products is tax.

I'm a student so I don't have too much cash to play around, so I'm not too picky about those scratches. 1000 euros is alot of money for me, but these are Volks and I'd really like to have them. There might be a set of stock R33 Skyline GT-R wheels around too for 500 euros, but then I'd have to go 5 lug right away...
