Ok, I am looking at putting Axis Reverb 18x8.5 with 235 40 18 up front and 18x9.5 with 265 35 18 out back. My question is the 18x8.5 has a +35 offset and the 18x9.5 has a +40 offset, will this work on my 1998 240SX. Also I will be lowered about 1.5in too with a little negative camber. If those dont fit what other wheels in those sizes are nice and decently affordable. Thanks guys.

Why not go with the matrix huge knock off of the Volk gt-v. The matrix is also 19inch just saw that, nevermind. Stay under +25 offset.

the front will not clear coilovers and might require rolling your fender
the rear will require a pull especially with 265's
EDIT: noticed you had an S14

So you guys wouldnt reccomend the Axis Reverbs then. I need those size 18's but it is hard to find the right offset in a affordable rim. What would be the ideal offset for a 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. I have heard that +28-35 will work for the front and +30-38 for the rear but I would like your guys opinion since these size rims are pretty common on a S14. Thanks, Derek

Hey does anybody have the G Games Wolf 77 2 piece in a 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 on a S14. I saw those but I need to know what offset is the best for 235Front and 265Rear. Let me know guys. Derek

are you willing to roll your fenders?
the easiest way to figure this out is to find a sizing that you consider flush with factory fenders (rolled but not pulled). In other words, search the forums keeping in mind that S14's and S13's are different went it comes to this. Plug that number into a wheel calculator and then put the width you want to run with the new set up.
For instance: if you think that 17x9 +15 is flush on an S14...you'll need a +9 offset for the 8.5" and +21 offset for the 9.5" to keep that "flushness". Also you need to consider your tire choices b/c that will effect this greatly especially since those sizes are kinda wide. A lot of people run stretched tires around here in order to get the widest, lowest offset wheels to fit.

So if I run a 18x9.5 with a 265 35 18 with a +40 offset that would not be great. I found out the G Games comes in a +40. But if I added a 20mm spacer wouldnt that make the offset a +20 so that would probably work with a 265. Let me know Terminator, thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

unfortunatley there's not a a ton info on the setup you want to run. You seem set on this tire size and these rims and you don't mind running a spacer..... so here's what you do:
Make sure your suspension settings (camber, etc) are where you want them. Buy the wheels, and mount them yourself. Now go drive around to make sure nothing is rubbing, if it is, figure out where it's rubbing at. Next measure how far out the wheel needs to move to make it flush, and then order a spacer that size. If rubbing is a problem swap back to your old wheels until the spacers come in.
the definition of flush is different to different people and I have no idea what you coniseder flush.

Well I mainly want the 265 35 18 for nice traction in the back. My goal is to have a daily driver S14 that will still be competitive at the track. I have ran in to alot of people using this size. I am not going to be drifting much even though it is fun, I will be doing most Road Course racing and some autocross. But I want to know what tire sizes you reccomend for a 300WHP S14. I was thinking 235 40 18Front and 265 35 18Back but if there are other sizes that are better please let me know. Thanks, Derek
