Hey, i was wondering if you guys know anyone with a rb20 T3 turbo'd ka24e or de. Ive tried searching the results arent really what im looking for. I was wondering how much power could be made and how early it would spool. Thanks

havent seen them on a ka but they would be a little more power then all the T25 ka-ts running around. spool would be really fast since theyre ballbearing and ceramic blades (ceramic blades cant go past 14psi though). If anything try to find a RB25 turbo since they flow more yet are supposed to spool at around the same time. They are pretty small T3s though, A/Rs in the .4xs if i remember correctly, I would look for a Z31 T3 they work great on the ka and would be less then a RB turbo.

People have been doing Z31 T3s for years, about the same results as with an RB20 unit. Quick spool, though not as instant as a T25, with good midrange pull. Falls off a little lower than a bigger compressor, but not bad. It's a cheap way of getting another 50-60hp easily.

i've heard that the compressor wheels are ceramic, and that they break very easily and without warning.

cool thanks for the help. So from what ive read, the T3 is alittle bigger than the sr20 T25. Would I be able to make around 250 with the right stuff like tuning and all the other goodies? Because Ive seen T25 in the lower 200's.

www.ka-t.org has all the ka-t info you could ever need.
250 on T25 is do-able, although the Z31 T3 is tried and true.
