this thread is long past due but better late than never. im tired of getting the run around from this guy named eric dillon aka jdmdrift. alot of people were involved in this groupbuy #/f/showthread.php?t=74326&highlight=darkstar
from the day that the engines never came we have been lied to. its almost a year now and there are at least 3 of us that havent received our money yet. this guy has given us excuse after excuse and not just me but people on ziptied also http://www.ziptied.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6717&highlight=darkstar

and edgar dont act like you had nothing to do with this, again i will state for everyone here,
edgar was as much a part of this as anyone, in fact most of you will know that he signed your reciepts.
with this being said, edgar jump[ed ship when we needed to make refunds leaving me to do it.
i have paid back a good amount of these leaving only a few of them left, antony WILL GET HIS REFUND. not because edgar wants to play the hero but becuase i never inteneded to rip anyone off, and i stand by that.
it is a slow process when you have to make $1300 to $1700 payments to 25 people and all out of your own pocket,
but im glad to say that its almost over. i have kept records and i have paid back $28,600 worth of refunds leaving only a few left.

I got basically the same e-mails wildace got. i received $600 on 12/18 and he said he'll send the rest the next week. Until now i haven't heard from him in 2 months.

as far as im concerned there are 2 unpaid and one of us has apparantly received 600 bux from u on 12/18, nowhere near the date that u supposively sent me a MO for my money. u say u have limited internet access yet u post in other forums everyday (i've checked). the only reason i dont post MY side on ziptied is cuz im not a member since i didnt have enough seat time. i've been waiting and waiting eric. how do u send somebody 600 bux but the other 2 get nothing? how is it that u send MO to everyone and then give everyone the same "it got lost in the mail" story? then u cancel the MO and dont get the money refunded to resend another way? wtf is that? as far as edgar is concerned he's not out to get u, he's trying to help us. he pmed me saying that he was under the impression that everybody was paid since u told him so and told me to post it up. so i did on every car forum u frequent and asked him to post on ziptied on my behalf (shouldve asked aaron instead). your darkstar name is already fukked so payin us off after a year isnt going to make a difference. most of the people that u paid back were during the months of when the container got "delayed" but have not paid off anything after august when the container eventually was never in transit or ever existed. i asked u for my money in september and have posted all of our emails that i still had saved. im not out here to slander or watever i just want my hard earned money back and nothing more.

well your speculation is all pretty slanted antony, and yes i do have limited internet,
i can get on certain forums from work, other are blocked,
anything with a pop email account will not work, anything that has any sort of pop up windows does not work, so everytime i get a PM and a seperate window is opened i become locked from that site.

it was returned within 3-4 days stating there was no such address, then i western unioned it. this took all of maybe 5 days in total. and again we agreed that i could give him 600 now 700 later, i was trying to be fair and pay off everyone atleast a little, except for mr vargus who was sent his total 1700 whos MO strangely dissapeared.
i dont like being called a liar, ive done ALOT to try to get this done with, and did it on my own.
lets see you try to pay back 1300-1700 in refunds out of pocket to 22+ people in less then a year, then you can start pointing fingers.

If you guys could look bad at the original thread you can see how everything rolled. He was in charge of wireing the money and getting the engines from a company named Japan Direct ran by Richard Crisp which was always hard to get ahold of for I dont know what reason. Now I dont know if Eric ever sent the money or he said he did but now im sure he will pay you back now that he has been called out and he is actually posting again.
The business is ran out of his apartment in Indianapolis Downtown where he does have the internet and is not limited unless you call him out tho you see how people speak. I am helping you guys to get your money back by getting in contact with Eric because yes I did WORK as a employee for Eric by selling but I moved to Modern Speed Labs where I get paid more, stuff actually gets done and is a professional business. If anyone has any problems or will need me for legal purposes to getting thier money back please PM me and I will help you as much as I can.

Sorry for the late reply, but I just discovered this thread.

I too was in on this group buy. After several months of patient waiting I decided to finally call it quits. I contacted my credit card company. They sent me a form that I filled out stating what exactly the situation was. I got my money refunded after a couple of weeks, if I remember correctly.

This was back around October/November of last year.

If anyone else that hasn't received their money back yet paid with a credit card I'd recommend calling their respective CC company.

Recommendation.....if someone that lives local to a "shop" you are thinking of buying from, you might want to take them a little more seriously.

If you want to recover your money I would suggest to fileing some sort of legal claim as I know that Eric Dillon has several Law Suites pending for fake JDM cars he sold. I did work for Eric and yes I did sell motor sets as that is what I was getting paid to do. Vanquish2 aka Kevin is right about alot he did warn as I worked for Eric and not had known everything I know about him today. He is done screwing people over.
Recently I heard he sold 6 "imported" cars to someone in FL and he bailed on them after recieveing and taking money into his possession.
I know he has done alot of mods to his car because it was sitting at my friends dads shop in Nobeville,Indiana and he told Eric to move his car after he has found out alot of SHADY stuff Eric has done.

Again Vanquish2 is correct that Darkstar Developments was never a shop or even a legit business like Eric made it seem and he is still around and maybe even still reads the boards. He doesnt even post on Ziptied anymore since he knows everyone in that community knows he is a lying sack of shit. Before I was around thier was a company by the name of Works Yamagushi which Eric worked at owned I dont know but after me doing some research was nothing but shady.

Like the ones that have posted in this thread and how I advise the author to call Eric out because thats what seemed to make Eric reply to shit as you can see earlier in the thread. I hope the law brings its force down hard on all the thousands and thousands of dollars that Eric has stolen from people.

Vanquish2 is right about another thing yea Indy is full of drag this and that but that has nothing to do with this situation. And you cant always make everyone happy when you are locally since people come to the shop and its they like you or they dislike you. We will leave that at that.

I pity those of you who trusted them and went in on that group buy. C'mon though... common sense says when every other motor is selling for $1800-2200, you are NOT going to actually get yours that you spent $1000-1300 on. And... what's wrong with the other $500-1,000? The high cost of swapping in an SR should make the extra 500-1,000 cump change. I mean, it always ends up being ~$4k in the end.


Just goes to show if its too good to be true, it probably is. Especially from people who have a history of flakiness and shadiness.

Its not that he changed it alot, its he couldnt pay for it since the company bank account was $11K negative from a "Hacker" and the service provider couldnt be paid from the bank account. Thats why we didnt have the emails or website.

Again, Me and Edgar NEVER touched a dime of your guy's money, we had no way to cash it, it all went into erics accounts wich thank god we were left off of. Edgar is an awsome person who moved on a long time ago when i should have followed suit.
Eric kept saying how is waiting on somthing to clear from someone to pay you guys back...Havent heard that before.

I didnt "BAIL"on paying them back I quit working with you for alot of reasons and you know what those might be. I didnt see the company going anywhere so I moved on and that is just part of life shit happends.
I shouldnt have to "pay"anyone back for one because the moneys and checks were all given to you to put in that account as you did. Weather you spent it on your car or not who cares now because its been a long time. All you need to do is finish paying them back the money that was deposited into your account.
