s13 sr, koyo rad.....car runs a little hotter than it used to, bottom of rad is cold, along w/ lower radiator hose....and the top of the rad is hot and so it the hose....even after the t-stat has been open for a while.....i searched and didnt seem to find much help, what could it be? is my thermo f'ed? or does it need to be bled??

also, i took off the bleeder screw( it is the 10mm one on the upper radiator hose mount right?) i screwed it all the way out and didnt really get any bubbles, but coolant just poured out....should i have just loosened it instead of taking it all the way out??

You can take the bleeder screw all the way out without any problem. Unless you drop it! LOL It's fine, Did you tuch the t-stat? If it's new, did you clock it with the weep hole to the top? Try running it with the heater on to circulate the coolent and insure to flush any air in the system. When it cools off then Bleed it again for air. Do'nt burn your self!!LOL
