are there any type of beginner days?

i've only drifted only a handful of times.. in empty lots and such but what i really want is to get some track time on me... so i was wondering if there are anyways where noobs like me can learn and also get some practice in.. or should i just go to any of the regular track days?

Track days don't seem like the best place to start drifting.

I recommend Drift Days or 2nd gear events like that. Places with wide open and flat surfaces.

As opposed to cone doging in parking lots filled with light poles?

No thanks, I'll take my chances spinning into the dirt, thanks.

There's nothing wrong with going to a track day as a beginner. Sure it'll be embarassing if you spin out and mess up, but you gotta screw up to improve.

Just go to whatever event and have fun driving your car.

hell yes trackdays for beginners
just drift is good
but drift day would be your best bet
designated instructors skid pad and j turn practice
just drift you end up on a course w/ guys going way fast and beyond a 'beginner' skill level for the msot part..

yup... www.driftday.com

there is actually one going on Today. they are usually held at Fontana, CA which is at the east end of the 210, right before you hit Riverside.

Check out the website for future dates..

tommorow is open also but it is more geared towards advance drivers I believe supposed to be a higher speed track....
I started at a driftday and my next event was just drift then a bunch of just drift events at the balcony you just need to get out and drive I have never had an instructor sit in my car learned by watching and doing.

mainstream events like these are mostly west coast...

know of any westcoast events? (no tracks nearby that i know of) XP and cops are anal about parking lots... hence, the search for closed tracks/pavements.
