Busted ECU

How do you diagnose an ECU without just putting it in a car. I'm putting in the engine and my ECU looks like it's been hit with a hammer.... :down:

You could start by opening the case up to make sure the circuit board isn't obviously damaged. Probably will need to be plugged into an actual car to determine if it works properly or not... You could plug it into a known-running "friend's" car and see if it blows up or not. :)
