KA24DE DC Sports.. Race Header?

I was checking out the DC sports website

looking for a header for my SR20DE. Anyhow, I noticed they listed 2 headers for the KA... the 4-1 one piece, and a "new" race header. Anyone running the Race header, having switched from the 4-1? I'm curious what the difference in design bewteen the two is.

Correction...... It is the same header there is no 4-1. Anything labelled under race header isn't legal. Obd 2 KA24de's doesn't have legality due to placement of the CAT. Therefore the header on OBD2 KA's isn't legal. It is legal on OBD1 KA24de's.To get the e.o you have to go through the state of california if the header didn't come with the E.O register "last years headers"....
I happen to speak with Ken the technician at DC/AEM he was very informative... There is an OBD2 header and design coming out shortly.......

So your just saying the race is there, showing its not legal.

Dunno when the next header might come out, it is pending and still in testing from what I was told. DC sports "claims" that they do major R&D before releasing the header, this one would be for OBD2 KA's........

Ya I kinda read over there Dyno stuff on the site. Sounds alright.

Interesting to see how they rework the header. Hotshot changed designs for there SR20DE header pretty dramatically going from the 5th to 6th generation style.. was just wondering if with the recent 240 craze there going to step it up a notch in terms of design.

I doubt you can get that much more hp from just that change. Well atleast something noticeable.

From just a generation change? The 6th Gen hotshot header has been shown to consistently lay down 10whp over the 5th gen header, not stock!
